According to a Microsoft manager, Windows 9 is to be offered as a free update for all Windows 8 owners. Officially, the new Microsoft operating system has not yet been confirmed, but Andreas Diantoro, head of Microsoft Indonesia, told the Detik website further details about Windows 9
Also interesting is
According to Diantoro, the update to Windows 9 will be free for users if they have already purchased a regular Windows 8 license for their notebook, tablet or desktop PC. Anyone who works with an older version of Windows will have to pay the license for Windows 9. The cost of a Windows 9 license is not yet known.
As with Windows 8.1, Microsoft is to bring the latest version of the operating system to the devices in the same way. The new operating system comes as a normal update to the Windows 8 computer, the user does not have to do anything else. As the data volumes should be immense, Diantoro recommends a stable Internet connection.
Further details on the upgrade were not made. Microsoft has not given an opinion yet. As part of a press conference in San Francisco, Microsoft will present numerous new business features on September 30, and will probably present the new operating system. So far, officially, not even "Windows 9", but only the codename "Threshold". A pre-release of the new operating system is expected for October 2017. The sales start should then take place in April 2017.
