The joy was immense, as shortly before Christmas a long-awaited package arrived in our post office. The sender: Raumfeld. And it is no less a test device than the new Sounddeck, already presented at the IFA 2017 and finally officially released. The result was a classic device, refined with black sanding varnish, including elegant aluminum elements. A brief guide is included in the scope of delivery for basics such as the installation and connection of the deck. Via the included HDMI cable the product is normally connected to the HDMI ARC connector of the TV, alternatively also a fiber optic connection is possible. The wireless remote control, which is made of brushed aluminum, is easy to hold and can be used to carry out all important commands.

Quickly inserted the film and already it can start: Already the first frequencies betray, which the sound helper here on premises can master. We are almost frightened by the ball hail, so the sound is reproduced on all sides. If we had not just installed the one-piece model ourselves, we almost came to the idea that someone had previously placed one or the other additional loudspeaker right and left in the room. It is astonishing that the high notes are still clearly and finely reproduced in spite of a balanced and long-lasting sound.

Instead of Bluetooth, WLAN is available for wireless connection to smartphones and tablets. Using fewer clicks, the corresponding space field app directs through the setup process.


The Streaming via Spotify, Tidal and Napster or rather the Internetradio - If the user has chosen a favorite transmitter or stream, he can store it easily and easily via one of the four numbered direct dial buttons on the remote control. Also on board is a USB port. The classic hits on our test CD master Raumfeld with bravura. There are point prints, however, for the unfortunately not available display.
