The network hard disk is installed in three steps and ready for operation. Simply connect to a router, turn on and install the software. A comfortable user interface provides easy access to the media data on the hard drive.
The Iomega device supports iTunes and Universal Plug and Play as well as DLNA-certified devices (Digital Living Network Alliance).
The network hard disk also acts as a robust media server. This can send digital content not only to networked computers but also to game consoles such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This also works for digital picture frames, networked TVs, and other compatible devices on the home network.
