Seagate 600 SSD in test

The 600 SSD is Seagate’s first SSD series for end users, so far the manufacturer offered only classic hard drives or hybrid drives, so-called SSHDs. In the PCgo test lab, the 2.5-inch model variant of the 600 SSD with 240 GB and seven millimeters of height was put to the test.

In addition to the good sequential read speed of 471 MByte / s, the very good sequential write speed of 411 MByte / s has fallen. Also, access time (average 0.07 milliseconds) and CPU load (about six percent) are low so that the newcomer comes straight to the third place in our SSD bestsellers.
