We show how streaming in the home network with Fritzbox and UPnP server goes: A hard drive with music and videos, connected to the Fritzbox – and already you can see on any device in the network everything and hear what you want.

As we set up the Fritzbox as NAS (network storage), we have already described. Now we turn the AVM device into a media server, whose files you can play on PCs, smartphones, tablets and the TV. How to do this is shown by the example of AVM Fritzbox 7490. For many other models, this manual can be used.
To play streams
In order to play the media files stored on the Fritz-NAS, you need a DLNA- / UPnP-compatible software. AVM itself provides the FRITZ! App Media, which is limited to us in the scope of functions. Therefore we show you a number of alternatives for a wide range of devices and operating systems.
