Fujifilm X-Pro 1 in the RAW test

The Fujifilm X-Pro 1 still costs 1,600 euros and is one of the most expensive mirrorless system cameras on the market, but it also offers a particularly noble solid metal housing, a special “X-Trans” sensor without low-pass filter (16 MP ), An above-average good 3-inch monitor with additional white subpixels, and as an all-in-one feature a hybrid viewfinder that can be used either as a luminaire frame or as an electronic viewfinder. A pop-up flash is missing from the Fujifilm X-Pro 1.

Image quality in RAW mode

The RAW recordings of the Fujifilm X-Pro 1 are characterized by a very high, constant resolution (1958 LP / BH) over the entire measured ISO range. In addition, the Fujifilm X-Pro 1 scores with outstanding MTF25 and MTF50 values, an unusually large dynamic gain for RAW up to 10.7 f-stops and relatively weak noise (0.4 to 1.7 VN)

Buying advice: Top 5 of the editors - the best mirrorless

Compared to the competition and its own JPEG results, however, the X-Pro 1 misses its lead with moderate DL values and stronger texture losses (1.4-1.6 instead of 0.5-1.1 kurtosis)

Note: This is the RAW test of the Fujifilm X-Pro 1, which focuses solely on the image quality of the mirrorless system camera in RAW mode (more about our test procedures and the new RAW test). For all technical details of the camera and a comprehensive review, including the evaluation of processing and operation, read our JPEG test of the Fujifilm X-Pro 1.
