New USB 3.0 specs on the CES: USB Doublespeed with up to 10 GBit / s

As the USB 3.0 Promoter Group and USB Implementers Forum announces in the course of the CES 2013, a doubling of the maximum USB 3.0 transmission rates is planned. This is to be achieved, among other things, by improved coding. The device is also called for the new transfer mode.


After the previous modes carry the names Lowspeed (up to 1.5 MBit / s), Fullspeed (up to 12 MBit / s), Highspeed (up to 480 MBit / s) and Superspeed (up to 5 GBit / s) is for the new speed The term Doublespeed in conversation.
