What do Arena Level and Prestige mean and how do they work?
Like PokéStops, arenas in Pokémon GO are places on the game board that the player can visit by moving into their reach. As the name implies, players can fight their Pokémon against each other in an arena. This works from level 5, when the player chooses a team (see our Pokémon GO Team Selection Guide.)

Depending on the team that has just occupied the arena, the arena will be displayed in the respective color: red, blue or yellow. A neutral arena that is currently empty will be white or gray.
How do Arena battles work?
The distinction is important - because the arena belongs to a hostile team, it comes to the fight. However, if he is a member of the team, he can only train there. If it is neutral, the player can take them with their own Pokémon.

If you open an arena in the detail view, you will see not only its name, but also its level. This can range from level 1 to level 10. Similarly, an arena also has room for one to ten Pokémon. The most powerful Pokémon of an arena is the Champion - it is also visible on the game card and is indicated by a crown in the arena view.
The level of an arena is again determined by its prestige value. This is indicated under the arena level in the form "XXXX / YYYY", where "XXXX" indicates the current prestige value and "YYYY" the necessary prestige to the next level.

If you attack an enemy arena and win at least one battle, you can reduce the prestige value, the level, and the number of Pokémon of an arena. In order to increase the prestige and level of an arena of your own tems, you must train in it and also win at least one fight.
If you open the view of an enemy arena, a combat symbol appears in the lower right. This is a selection screen where you can choose six Pokémon from the collection you want to play in the arena.
By default, the game chooses the six Pokémon with the highest WP value. However, you can customize the selection by tapping on one of the Pokémon and then selecting the desired monster from your own collection. The only requirement is that the Pokémon have full life. If you have the right attack group together, start the fight with "GO".
Now change the view and the first Pokémon of the player against the weakest monster of the Arena. As with a beat em-up you can see the life points bars of the two Pokémon and the remaining time. To this end, checkboxes on your own monster indicate how far the special suit is already charged.
What happens to the fighting and defeated Pokémon in the arena?
Other buttons are shown at the bottom right: the arrow can be used to escape the battle, use the arrows up and down to replace the Pokémon with another. How does arena training work?
Really avoid trying to learn: If you pay close attention, you can see yellow lightning before the attacks of the opponent. You should react and wipe them quickly. A message "Selected!" Confirms the success. This can be decisive for enemy special attacks.
If the player wins, the next enemy monster follows. If the player loses, the next Pokémon comes from his own set attacking force. This is repeated until all Pokémon of a team are defeated.
Depending on the number of battles won by the attacker, the Arena Prestige is now falling. How high the loss is depends on the differences in strength: If you win against weak monsters with weak monsters, you gain more prestige than otherwise. If an arena falls to a prestige of 0 points, it can be taken.
