GTA 5 sold over 34 million times

GTA 5 is one of the most successful game titles ever. In the financial report of the publisher Take-Two Interactive at the end of the last financial year, 33 million units sold in the Open World game were mentioned worldwide. The worldwide release of GTA 5 took place on September 17 last year for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It is a total of the 15th title of the Grand Theft Auto series. This allows the player to pursue non-criminal activities such as golf or tennis. In addition, more vehicles are available in the current GTA than in the predecessors. An end of the sales boom is not yet foreseen, especially since the release of GTA 5 for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One is still imminent. According to Rockstar, the game will appear on these devices in autumn. The date is the 7th November in the room, but this is not yet confirmed. At the world's biggest games fair, this year's E3, there was already a small pre-taste in the form of a first trailer. For the new versions on console and PC, the developers also promise significant improvements in graphics and implementation.


In addition to the pure sale of games, Rockstar Games would like to earn additional profits with paid extensions. Except for additional content for GTA Online there is no information about this. There are rumors about a zombie DLC and an extension of the main character Trevor. For GTA Online, the introduction of a cooperative robbery (Heist-DLC) mode has recently been postponed.
