Windows 10: Change background wallpaper & lock screen

Windows 10: The Hero Desktop Wallpaper

Tip 1

If you can start with the specifications of Microsoft, the Windows 10 fits its own taste. You have the following options for the background image, the lock screen, the colors, and more

Tip 2

The first step to change is in Windows 10 in the Personalization settings. Select one of the included Windows background images or use your own photo.

Tip 3

Under Colors choose the desired color either by yourself or use an accent color from the background image. The two links below the color patterns ensure transparency effects and the cross-system display of the selected color in windows, menu bars and the info center.

Tip 4

In Windows 10, the login and lock screen can not only be spiced up with your own photos, but also with apps. These then display information and status messages. You can set which apps appear on the lock screen by switching to the lock screen in Personalization settings. At the bottom, set the apps you want to use. You can also use the Windows 10 lock screen as a digital picture frame for your photos. To do this, enable Slide Show in the Background drop-down box. Add to folder, then select the desired photos for the slide show on the hard drive.

With the designs in the settings Windows accesses the old system control. Here you can use one of the included standard designs or download more from the Internet.

In the Start under Personalization section, there are a few more options. For example, if you liked the tile screen in Windows 8 / 8.1, you can specify that the Start menu is always opened in a full-screen view. You can also specify which folders should appear in the Start menu. After selecting the appropriate option, select the desired folders.
