Users of Creative Sound Cards SoundBlaster Z, ZX and ZXr get powerful hardware to enjoy games, movies and music (even) with their ears. An important feature – and for many users, a purchase reason – is the ability to convert audio signals directly into Dolby Digital and DTS and to transmit them to a system via optical digital output. In the normal case, set the Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect functions in the SoundBlaster Z Control Panel on the Cinema (or Cinematic) tab
But what if this rider is not available? Were you bothered by the online shop? No do not worry. It is a common problem that many users of the “Sound Blaster Z” series complain about. There are some approaches to solving the problem. First, make sure you are installing the current driver from the Creative site. Select the right card and scroll down to the download link on the product page.
Download the driver package and make sure during the setup process, that the installed components are installed next to the driver and the control panel, as well as the package called "Support-Files" or "supporting programs". Behind this, the necessary files are hidden in order to use the encoder functions of the card. The support files also provide the product registration tool. However, this is not mandatory.
Lesetipp: Sound card - yes or no?
If the Cinema Blaster Z Control Panel still does not show a movie tab (Cinematic tab), the following tip has helped users: Deactivate the HDMI outputs in the playback settings (system control, sound) Of the graphics card. There may be conflicts in Windows 10. After rebooting, the tab should be visible and you can enable Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect.
I wanted to share my findings. I have had SBZ for years and never had this issue of the 'Cinematic" tab going away. Well it just happened recently. After a few bouts with Creative, and other hints I found the problem. Evidently my Nividia control panel updated. By doing so it had changed the HDMI settings. Buy changing to "No HDMI" and applied, all of a sudden the Cinematic tab came back. I have GForce 710 but I would at least look at this under whatever graphics card you have. I do no use any audio from this software of my Nividia. So I guess the audio part of the graphics card caused a conflict with SBZ card
