Mini-Workshop: Record video streams

With the Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) from the magazine DVD, all the contents on the PC screen or in a browser window can be edited. You can find OBS under Software / Tool Packages / Prime Video Recorder.


1. If you have configured the tool as described in the post, open the browser of your choice in full-screen mode, visit your favorite streaming service and search for the content you want to record


2. Use the key combination [Alt] + [Tab] to switch to Open Broadcaster Software, right-click in the area under Scenes: select Add scene and confirm with OK. Then, right-click on Sources :, select Add, Game Record, and OK.


3. In the following dialog, select the browser window where the video you want to cut will be played in the application's drop-down menu: Remove the checkmark from the mouse pointer and confirm with OK


4. Start the video playback in the browser, move OBS to the front with [Alt] + [Tab], click the menu command Settings (S), and select Always in the foreground (A) Window overlays the browser window. Click the; Start Stream Preview button so that the tool displays a preview.


5. Fits all, restart playback of the stream, and click the Start Recording button in Open Broadcaster Software to start recording. Stop recording is finished.
