If you only want to create a PDF file from time to time and do not want to edit it, you may need an online converter. On the German-language Docupub page you first set which output format you want to get. In addition to PDF, the tool also creates JPGs, TIFFs or BMPs. You can also set page alignment and resolution by mouse click.

Use Browse to select the original. Docupub only processes files up to five megabytes. Under Delivery Method, you have the choice of whether the PDF should be displayed in the browser, or whether you want to receive the link via e-mail. From there, the file can be stored on the computer.


Similarly, the online converter from Nitro works. However, there are a few more options: you first select the input format and the output format. Do you want to convert a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file to a PDF, or vice versa? Then upload the original file by selecting File and enter your e-mail address. Click Convert Now. You will then receive an e-mail with a link to the document. After opening it in the browser, download it.


Save image files in PDF format


The JPEG to PDF converter converts images to PDF. For example, this can be useful when you send a photo but want to make sure the recipient can not simply copy it.


Add photos with add files. In addition to JPEGs, the program also processes BMP, PNG, and GIF files. Now you decide whether to save all in one or more PDFs. You can also specify the order of the pictures, their size, and the placement. In order to protect or encrypt the PDF, however, you must use another program, for example Nitro PDF, see Tip 2.
