The Wireshark software is a popular network analysis tool, and Wireshark operates on the protocol layer, and has 472 different network protocols, such as IP, IPv6, FiberChannel and Virtual LAN. The program monitors and analyzes data traffic, which allows the user to identify and correct errors. Wireshark needs the free WinPcap library, which can be integrated into the system by the user during installation.
