Outdo camera

Outdoorkameras were developed by the manufacturer explicitly for hard use. They are then used when you want to protect the high-quality system equipment, ie on the beach, where water and sand can be added to any digital camera. Outdoorkameras are protected by special gaskets on the housing against all kinds of injuries. Even for snorkeling you can take them with you. For proper dives of more than three meters deep, however, a special underwater housing is needed.


The closed construction means that no lens parts can be moved in and out, the entire zoom range must be realized by internal moving lenses or lens groups. This sets clear limits for the zoom, which means that almost all outdoor cameras are 28 millimeters in width at a wide angle, and a 4x zoom at the start. With the 5-fold zoom, the end of the flag is already reached.


For operation under water or with gloves are small, controls are of course prohibited. Outdoor cameras are therefore designed for the simplest possible photographing in all living situations, and even with special adjustment possibilities. So you can change settings on many models by shaking the camera. This is habituation, but works. Many, outdoor cameras are also equipped with GPS and compass. These measuring instruments provide additional information to each photo which you can use on the computer.


A great advantage of the outdo camera, which is barely spoken: they are not prone to fouling by lint and dust. However, in the past few years, the outdo cameras have gained some competition from the growing market of actioncams. Although they generally offer poorer picture quality, they offer a more flexible use for sports and outdoor activities through numerous accessories from the chest strap to the helmet holder. Also, they are usually easier to use. For many users, the photo quality is great for sharing in social networks like Facebook, Instagram and Co.
