The new online platform Wuaki.tv is now also available in the United States. Here, spectators can find a wide range of series and films. The Spanish company does not rely on a flat-rate model (monthly subscription), but displays content that can be borrowed or permanently purchased for 48 hours.
Series are then purchased per season - new episodes, which only appear later, are automatically added to the purchase after release. SD movies cost between 2.99 and 3.99 euros, movies in HD quality about one euro more. The platform is structured and reacts quickly. Currently, Wuaki.tv is running on the Smart TVs of Samsung and LG, iOS and Android devices as well as on the Xbox.
In addition to film highlights such as "Edge of Tomorrow", there are also a number of series highlights at the start. Including the HBO series "Game of Thrones" - for about 25 euros per season. The trailers for the respective season disappoint: however, a coherent, extremely short sequence from any sequence makes little desire for the success series.
In addition, Wuaki.tv is currently advertising films in Ultra HD. These are themselves visible on the Samsung TV and are marked with the feature "UHD", but can not be played. The reason for this is the exclusive promotional campaign Wuaki.tv currently offers in cooperation with LG. Only if you buy a current LG TV model, you get a voucher for four films in Ultra HD quality. Wuaki.tv has not been able to say whether such actions are also planned with other manufacturers.
