GTA 5: Patch 1.03 provides problems, crashes and bugs

The reissue of GTA 5 for PS4 and Xbox One continues to struggle with starting difficulties: A faulty patch prepares new problems. Players report that GTA 5 can not be started after installing the update 1.03. After 20 percent, the charging process simply stops. Other players complain about game-breaking bugs. In these cases, however, a new installation of the game seems to work without the current patch.

The new update 1.03 is supposed to correct problems with the online connection and the Rockstar Social Club and remove various bugs. Shortly after the release for PS4 and Xbox One, a massive GTA-5 bug prevented the start of the digital download version.

Also the Day One Patch for GTA 5 was reportedly not properly downloadable and installed. Without this patch, GTA Online can not start and even characters from the Lastgen version can not be imported.

The new patch now brings more serious problems instead of improvements: Numerous players complain about deleted games in the singleplayer mode. There are also cases where players can only fight with their fists as all other weapons are removed from their repertoire.

Also crashes with output of the PS4 error code CE-34878-0 are not an individual case. Rockstar Games is likely to counter these problems soon with another patch, which hopefully without new bugs and error notices. We'll keep you up to date.
