MSI AG240 test: The new all-in-one PC in the review

In the test of the MSI AG240, the red-black design and the gaming emblem at the front quickly make it clear that the all-in-one PC probably does not have to do with a Bürorchner. In fact, MSI has packed high-quality mobile components into the slim chassis.

The processor is an Intel Core i7-4710 with four cores and HD-4600 graphics. But this is only active for desktop applications, when playing an Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M. With 3658 points in the graphically demanding 3DMark Fire Strike, the computer is about the same level as a desktop PC with GeForce GTX 750TI, with which the GTX 860M also shares the new Maxwell architecture.

The performance is sufficient for games like BioShock Infinite or the current Tomb Raider for liquid Full HDGaming. The MSI at the Festplattenbenchmark really starts: The two mSATASSDs from Plextor with a total of 240 GB provide a read rate of more than one gigabyte / s.

This also ensures a very good system performance, we measure 5971 points in the PCMark 7. The equipment is lush: as data storage is a terabyte HDD built-in, as an optical drive a Blu-ray burner. A killer LAN card provides low latency for games and AC-WLAN for brisk data transmission.
