With the iCloud Control Panel for Windows, you can easily synchronize your mails, contacts, calendars and tasks from Outlook, bookmarks from Safari or Internet Explorer, as well as photos via the free Apple iCloud service with your iPhone and iPad Br>
To use iCloud, you must first set up an iCloud account using an iOS 5 device (iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad) and your existing Apple ID. If you do not have an Apple ID, you must create one when activating iCloud. Once the setup has been completed, five gigabytes of on-line storage are now available free of charge in the iCloud. More space can be purchased at any time.
After the first start of the iCloud control panel, connect the software by entering your Apple ID and the associated password with the iCloud. In the main screen, you can determine exactly which data you want to store from your PC into the iCloud and thus be compatible with other Apple devices. You can choose from the following: E-mails with Outlook, Contacts with Outlook, Calendar & Tasks with Outlook, Bookmarks with Safari or Internet Explorer as well as Fotostream. If further settings are available for the selected selection, you can access them via the Options button. For example, you can specify an upload and a download folder in the settings for photo upload. If you move an image on your hard disk to the selected upload directory, it automatically appears in the photo album album of all Apple devices on which you have activated the photo-stream function. In other words, the images you shot with one of these devices end up in the download directory.
