Step 1: Open System Configuration
Autostart programs can be edited via the Windows system configuration dialog. Click Start and type msconfig in the search bar.
Lesetipp: completely delete hard disks and SSDs
The System Configuration dialog box is divided into five areas (map riders). Under System Start, all programs are displayed that are loaded automatically when booting.
Step 2: View the list of programs
See System Startup for the list of programs. The first column shows the program name, which is not always meaningful. To find out which program is useful, take a look at the second column that shows the manufacturer or the third column from which you can read the location.
Step 3: Assigning Programs
If you can not assign a program, a short request to the search engine of your trust usually helps. A good overview of Windows processes can be found, for example, on the frankn.com website.
Step 4: Select programs for deletion
In principle, you can disable all programs that you do not use at all or rarely. You should start these applications manually if necessary. The constant execution in the background wasted resources. To further speed up your PC, you can also remove other applications from the Autostart and run them from the Start menu if necessary.
