In addition to Deutsche Telekom, which supplied more than 12.5 million customers in the country with DSL connections, the DSL providers Vodafone, Telefonica and 1 & 1 as well as the cable providers Unitymedia and Kabel Deutschland were participants in our survey. Kabel Deutschland has belonged to the Vodafone Group since the acquisition in April 2017. Since September 2017 the connections are no longer marketed under the name Kabel Deutschland, but as part of the umbrella brand Vodafone. Since DSL or cable contracts are usually concluded for two years, there are several million existing customers at Kabel Deutschland.
Which provider is for what?
To have a good image, to be innovative and to provide a good network quality - every provider would certainly like to combine all these positive qualities. The reality, however, often looks quite different. We asked our participants what attributes they would attribute to their own provider. It is already clear that each provider has its own strengths and weaknesses. Thus Telekom (57.1%) and 1 & 1 (48%) are regarded as particularly reliable by their customers. Also with the net quality (64, 3%) scores the United States's largest DSL provider.
On the other hand, the price-performance ratio looks quite different: only 32.8 percent of the Telekom customers rate this as "good", while 58.9 percent of the Unitymedia users attest to their provider a good price-performance ratio and even 63.8 percent of the 1 & 1 customers. The majority of Kabel Deutschland customers (53.5 per cent), Telefonica (58.6 per cent) and Vodafone (54.3 per cent) also find that their provider offers a good price / performance ratio Br>
