VDOS: Web shop for server attacks flared

The owners of the webshop vDOS, which offered Serverattacks for purchase, have been arrested. They are two young Israelis with accomplices in the US. Krebs calls on his side to a leaked database. Cancer also writes that the young men have sold more than 277 million seconds of attack time between April and July 2017.

His research resulted in the arrest of the two operators in Israel. These are now back in freedom, but according to the report, they had to pay 10,000 dollar bills and hand their Israeli passports to the authorities. In addition, both have an Internet barrier under householder.

Via the vDOS-Webshop, customers were able to book attacks according to an Abomodell. Depending on the duration of the attack, these costs ranged between 20 and 200 US dollars per month. In a DDoS attack, the server is not bombarded with a hacker attack, but the server is bombarded with requests by the combination of several computers. The goal is to paralyze the server with the resulting overburden.
