Intel Solid-State Drive Pro 2500 Series for enterprise

Intel has expanded its SSD Professional family by a new series, which the company announced by press release.


Cost-effective protection at constant power


The Intel SSD Pro 2500 Series is designed to deliver maximum performance with minimal downtime and significantly reduced operating costs. With built-in security features such as hardware-based encryption, the Intel SSD Pro 2500 can meet business needs.


Extensive remote functionality


The Intel Pro 2500 works with hardware-based 256-bit encryption and supports the OPAL 2.0 standard of the Trusted Comupting Group as well as Microsoft eDrive. In addition, the Pro-2500 series will easily integrate into the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.


Intel Stable Image Platform Program: individual configuration with secured scheduling


Administrators can remotely configure, review, control, and troubleshoot Intel's new Pro-2500 series from any location. Secure audit logs ensure active encryption in case of theft or loss of the drive. In addition, the new SSDs are ideal for embedded applications.


The Intel Stable Image Platform program is intended to guarantee an easily predictable change from one technology generation to the next. The availability and unalterability of all components and drivers is guaranteed within this program for a period of 15 months, minimizing maintenance and IT staff requirements.


The new SSD Pro 2500 series is available as a traditional 2.5-inch version and in the M.2 form factor with capacities between 120 GB and 480 GB. Intel grants a five-year limited warranty. Prices range from $ 95 for the 120GB version to $ 305 for the 480GB model.
