FreeFileSinc: Free Download

Once configured, FreeFileSync will ensure that the same files are located in both directories. For example, you can use FreeFileSync if a good friend passes the USB drive and you want to sync your music folder with your computer. Or you can use FreeFileSync to sync files you’ve edited on your laptop to your desktop PC. Many other uses are possible.

Guide: Software basic for every PC FreeFileSync offers a few additional possibilities, which one does not recognize at first sight. You can also use FreeFileSync to create a backup. Files are only copied from the left to the right, but not in the opposite direction. You can access this function by clicking the gear next to the "Synchronize" button. Select "Mirror" instead of "Automatic". To update the backup later, use the same option, which you can also find here. For professionals who want their backups to be automated, help is available in the "Advanced" menu. The "Create Batch Job" function generates a small program file, which automatically executes the backup job that has just been configured, whenever you start it. Use the Windows Task Scheduler to automatically run the file at specific times.
