When the HTTP protocol took shape almost 25 years ago, hardly anyone could imagine the richness of entertainment and information offerings that flooded today’s Internet. The internet of things adds to the security requirements. Modern web applications must master encrypted data transmission. HTTP / 2 is a first and fortunate step in this direction.
The exemplary implementation of HTTP / 2 in current web browsers is intended to bring the end users to the taste of the accelerated data highway. The improved security is almost introduced by the back door.
