Part 2: TFT displays: TFT throughput

The first impression, the ProLite E431S by Iiyama behind, was modest: the CD with driver, manual and adjustmenttool wanted to start only with a trick and also the OSD is very nested. Technically, however, the ProLite E431S proves that it is the first choice among game and video-capable TFT-LCDs. Its mean response time is less than 30 milliseconds. Top speed is even just 13 milliseconds.

The angle of view proves to be extremely broad. 45 degrees left and right of the center of the image, the ProLite E431S remains relatively colorless at 65.6%. The contrast is also stable with 65%. The contrast ratio is very high with the Iiyama - the maximum luminance is 230 cd / m2. However, the Grautreppe shows a very slight slope to the coloration in the blue. Even dark areas under six percent gray are sometimes difficult to differentiate. Otherwise the ProLite E431S makes a good figure with strong and natural colors. The monitor is optionally connected via DVI or an analogue line. Iiyama offers an on-site exchange service for 36 months. The hotline is free of charge. The screen is priced at just 430 euros for low-priced shops - almost 70 euros below the recommended retail price.
