Green Throttle Games was founded in late 2012 by guitar hero developer Charles Huang and two other colleagues. The idea was to strengthen the gaming offer for Android with the self-developed Bluetooth controller Atlas and the software arena. Due to the strong competition the founders failed however and in November 2013 even went off the net. Now Google has confirmed the partial takeover of the young company against the US Techblog PandoDaily.

Green Throttle Games was the main focus of the game, with the exception of founder Huang, who still retains rights to Green Throttle's business, Matt Crowley and Karl Townsend took over two of the three founders as well as the rest of the team. This is confirmed by a Google spokesman against the US tech blog re / code. The reason for the takeover is the strengthening of the staff, who have specialized competences in the construction of Bluetooth controllers.
