"Kürschnergate": e-mail error put Bundestag lame

It was only a small mistake: the office for information material of the Bundestag sent an e-mail to all in the Bundestag with the news that the new Kürschner manual with the title “Statutory foundations, business orders, American Bundestag – Bundesrat – federal government” had arrived .

But the recipients, including several distributors, were in the CC, not the BCC. Therefore, all responses went to all around 4000 recipients. And all the wishes expressed "Take me from the list !!!!" Or more or less ironic references to "Golden Rules for Bad Emails" as well. As the IT department of the Bundestage reported little amused, in the meantime the delivery of e-mails delayed up to half an hour.

The incident was christened "kürschnergate" according to the manual it was originally written on, and also provided plenty of talking material on Twitter.
