In Korea, the clocks run faster. Samsung is the world’s first SSD storage manufacturer to include a two terabyte solid state disk in its 2.5-inch format in its consumer portfolio. Strictly speaking, there are even two SSDs with this enormous storage capacity: the Samsung EVO 850 with 2 TByte and the Samsung Pro 850 with 2 TByte. Both series are also available with smaller capacities, which start with a memory size of 128 GB and have so far been available in a size of one terabyte. From now on, consumers who want to upgrade their PCs may also have to think about the two-terabyte variant.

Extras and Guarantee
The Samsung EVO 850 with 2 terabytes reaches outstanding values on our test platform. In the AS SSD it achieves a very good 1,638 points. Particularly the write values with 4K files stand out with just under 97 megabytes per second. This value is twice as high as with many other SSDs and an indicator that the Samsung EVO 850 2TB is particularly well-suited for use as a system disk.
This result is again confirmed by the ATTO benchmark. Here is particularly noticeable that the Samsung EVO 850 2TB already at small file sizes high transfer rates achieved. With 2 KB files, it is over 100 MByte / s and with 4 KB files even more than 200 MB / s - impressive.
Samsung uses the red pencil for extras such as spacers, screws or mounting frames. Here you have to help yourself. There is an extra guarantee for the Samsung 850 PRO, namely 10 years. The Samsung EVO 850 with two terabytes is still a five-year warranty - at least. This is still good compared to other manufacturers.
