In February this year, the announcement of the compact cameras Sigma DP1 Merrill and Sigma DP2 Merrill was planned as the launch date for the Sigma DP2 Merrill in Japan in May 2012. Now Sigma reports that the preparations for this version of the compact camera with a 46-megapixel Foveon sensor in APS-C format and 2.8 / 30-mm lens are longer than originally expected.
While the DP1 is already on the market in Japan, Sigma currently expects a launch of the DP2 Merill in July and wants to announce the exact launch date on its website as soon as it is certain.
