The largest all-in-one PC represents MSI in this test. The Gaming 27 6QE weighs 16.6 kilograms, but also offers the largest display: 27 inches (68.6 cm, Full-HD). It is anti-reflective, but does not provide a touch function. For the target group of gamers, however, a touch-sensitive display is in any case uninteresting. For them, in principle, only the power counts, and of this the MSI calculator has plenty. A quad core Intel Core i7 (3.4 GHz, turbo boost up to 4.0 GHz), 16 GB DDR4 RAM, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M (8 GB) and a RAID 0 from two 128-gigabytes -SSDs (PCIe). A 2 TB hard disk for less used data and a DL DVD burner are installed as additional mass storage.
Conclusion
Since MSI has chosen the less performance-consuming, but in this case with 82 dpi somewhat coarser full-HD resolution instead of the trendy 4K version, the MSI Gaming 27 6QE achieves fantastically high values in the gaming benchmarks: with 25,239 points in the 3DMark Cloud Gate and 8560 points at the Fire Strike, it is twice as fast as the second-placed Asus Zen AiO Pro Z240ICGT-GJ018X. This is enough to display current games even in high graphics effect settings smoothly. Side effects: The housing fan rushes clearly audible, and the power consumption is up to 181 watts very high. Since you can connect additional monitors to the two HDMI outputs, the enormous power reserves are sensible.
The SSD-RAID also ensures extremely short loading times. In the HD-Tune test, we measure exorbitantly high reading rates. On average, 2880.3 MByte / s and a maximum of 2962.4 MByte / s over the data line - about six times faster than a conventional SSD and a new record in the PCgo test center. With a very good 6694 points in the PC Mark 7 and 8.93 CPU points in the Cinebench R11.5, the MSI all-in-one also dominates these two benchmarks. Compatible to the highest performance in the comparison test, it is also available with many fast interfaces. These include, among other things, a game-optimized killer LAN and WLAN ac card. They should not only offer higher data rates than normal LAN and WLAN cards, but also clearly lower latencies.
Of course, such an AiO Boliden also includes three USB 3.0 ports and a very fast USB 3.1 type C. It transmits twice as fast as USB 3.0 with theoretically 1200 MByte / s data. A part of the interfaces can be found easily at the MSI at the controls on the left side of the housing, less frequently used (HDMI, LAN and USB 2.0) on the back. Matching to the Gaming-AiO, MSI adds a special mouse keyboard set. The keyboard lights up in color when you want, and the right-handed gaming mouse has freely programmable buttons.
The MSI Gaming 27 6QE is one of the most powerful all-in-one PCs on the market, making some conventional gaming PCs look old. The very high price of more than 2,500 euros restricts the buyer group.
