The new Android update of the Facebook Messenger app allows the users to receive and send SMS in it. In this way, stickers and voice messages can now be integrated into SMS. As a further advantage of this new feature, Messenger boss David Marcus states that users no longer have to switch between apps. Facebook messages and SMS appear in only one app.

To ban the redirection of private SMS into the Messenger, go to the "Settings" menu within the Messenger app. There you can enter the field "SMS SMS" in the "SMS" field. The lever is simply moved to there. This is how SMS is displayed as usual in a separate app.
