Energy PowerBar Elite tested

While the minimalist soundbar looks at the red pencil, the woofer with its side-mounted 25 cm bass chassis acts like a rock in the surf between the usual simple prefabricated buildings. There is a stereo RCA input for the TV and an optical digital input for the disc player.

Even the tiny remote, reduced to the essentials, requires ease. The Power Bar Elite compensates for this with a wireless signal transmission to the subwoofer.

The brand, which operates with its Mirage loudspeakers in the high-end range, has a good reputation to defend - which is convincingly successful. The woofer worked with music very cultivated. The middle / high range offered very good speech intelligibility in dialogues.

Buying advice: Soundbars from 230 Euro in the test

Surround sounded the sound convincingly, but the handle to the level control at the back of the woofer was close to the sound of explosions.
