Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12.0 tested

MovieStudio Platinum 12

Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12 in Review: The small brother of Sony Vegas provides a good documentation. The surface can be well adapted, but few practiced should be struck by the abundance of functions. Despite the extent, we still missed some features. On our test PC, the Movie Studio profited significantly from the Cuda support of our Quadro 4000 when it was rendered. This means that a 6-minute test film can be calculated in just seven minutes.

The movie studio responds overall pleasantly spontaneously - if it reacts: In the test it rushed under Windows 7 64 bit several times, for example, if we wanted to apply the secondary color correction to several longer HD clips. The program offers great effects. However, important functions such as region stabilization are still missing.

Conclusion: Despite the low price, the Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12 is not a program that is suitable for editing beginners - it is too powerful for it. However, a number of important functions are missing.
