Amazon recalls its own USB charger due to overheating. Currently, customers who purchased the device named Amazon Basics Charger with USB 2.1 Amp Output Outlet are notified of the recall.
Due to the overheating, the device could cause fires in the worst case. Therefore, Amazon asks all buyers to stop using the device. If the item was a gift, Amazon asks the recipient to inform about the danger of overheating. The purchase price should be refunded in any case.
