Sony Cybershot W830 and W810: New entry-level digital cameras

Sony has launched its new Cybershot Cameras W830 and W810 for unrivaled photo pleasure with images of better quality than smartphones deliver. The W830 is equipped with a Zeiss Vario-Tessar zoom 3,3-6,3 / 4,5-366 mm (26-156 mm KB), the W810 with Sony Zoom 3,5-6,5 / 4,6 -27.6 mm (28-224 mm KB).

Price and availability

High resolution, good lens, integrated image effects and lush auto functions promises Sony for both, but no WLAN or NFC. Sony's 20-megapixel super-HA CCD sensor with Bionz image processor also allows for 360 ° swing pan filaments. The image is controlled by a 2.7-inch LCD monitor.

Specifications

Videos both record in High Definition 720p30. The optical "SteadyShot" image stabilizer of the W830 compensates for photo and video shakeouts. Active mode supports electronic stabilization when shooting.

Beauty effects stored in the camera act as a digital beauty surgeon in both models. With the Cybershot DSC-W810, an "Advanced Flash" function is to provide even in larger rooms and distances for harmonious flashlight photos. This suits the party mode of the W810, which also promises successful shots even with shimmering light.
