The UFS 924 receiver is a high-end model because of its TV configuration. A double satellite receiver allows twin functions such as picture-in-picture or the recording of two stations at the same time. They end up on an integrated hard disk up to 1 terabyte. For easy recording, the “tvtv” EPG is available, offering comprehensive program minfos, outstanding sorting functions and sophisticated recording options for series.

With HbbTV and an Internet portal, the TV services receive an additional, practical dimension. Thanks to the red button function, the media providers of the program providers as well as other HbbTV services can be accessed from the Internet. The "Red Bull Smart-TV Portal" extends the box with additional web offers. Included here are Red Bull Channels, Red Bull TV and the reception of broadcasts from the Austrian broadcaster Servus TV. YouTube and Internet radio were already available in earlier Kathrein models and are not missing with the exclusive newcomer.
An outstanding extra is the push VoD service. Here you can order HD or 3D films via the Internet portal of the box. However, they are played over the satellite connection, with the time being delayed on the receiver's hard disk. The next day you look at the ordered film. Advantage of this variant of Video on Demand: High-resolution and even 3D-films should reach top image quality, even if you have a weak internet data connection at home.
For a further multimedial engagement, a USB input, via which JPEG photos and MP3 songs can be played. In addition, the receiver exchanges with devices that connect via the domestic network. The "Wake-on-LAN" function ensures that access to data on the UFS 924 is possible even when switched off. If a request reaches him, he automatically switches from standby to operating mode.
