Assassin’s Creed: Unity has had a serious start: Publisher Ubisoft has already released three patches that work on the cross-console issues. The current patch 1.03 includes almost 300 bug fixes and also makes numerous changes. For example, the update fixes several bugs in both the campaign and the co-op mode, which could lead to the crash of the game. There are also problems with animation and navigation errors, as well as problems that have damaged the game.
Also interesting is
Nevertheless, many players of AC Unity complain after the installation of the 1.8 Gigabyte update over a much too low image rate in spite of strong hardware and extreme jerks, which should make the game almost unplayable. Evil tongues may claim that this dilemma was likely to happen: Ubisoft stressed before the release of AC Unity that it took the high level of detail and the number of NPCs to reach 720p at 30 FPS. 1080p at 30 frames on PS4 and Xbox One were declared utopian. Now we have the sad certainty that AC Unity not only drives PS4 and Xbox One but also well-equipped PCs.
Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft Montreal & Toronto apologizes for the numerous technical problems on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. The team is clear and recognizes that the bugs reduce the game play enormously and prevent the players from enjoying Unity to their full extent. According to Mallat, the fans' previous feedback on how to improve the action adventure was helpful on the one hand, but on the other hand shameful.
As compensation, the Ubisoft CEO announced in his statement that the upcoming DLC "Dead Kings" should be made available to all players free of charge. Players who have already purchased a season pass for the DLC can choose another Ubisoft game. You can choose from The Crew, Watchdogs, Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends, and Just Dance 2017. The Season Pass is discontinued.
Mallat asks the players for feedback and thanks for the loyalty and support. Ubisoft, of course, continues to work on the remaining mistakes to make Assassin's Creed the most ambitious and innovative franchise on the market. Patch number four is already in the start holes and is to be circulated during the week.
