Comodo Mobile Device Management: Security in enterprise networks

Comodo wants to implement a more secure integration of Android and iOS-based devices into the corporate network thanks to the new software Comodo Mobile Device Management (CMDM). The software manufacturer is thus reacting to the trend of using professional and private mobile devices in the working day.

Security and transparency for all iOS and Android devices

Many employees now work in the home office or are sending business information on private mobile devices while they are on the move. Confidential business data can be protected against attacks by cybercriminals outside the protected corporate network.

Application and Security Management

By means of remote monitoring, Comodo Mobile Device Management secures the private devices and protects business-critical data from misuse or threats from the outside, according to the manufacturer. According to Comodo, the software also provides an integrated security solution with protection against malware from the Internet.

License model is based on the number of employees

CMDM also allows its users to determine and block whitelists and blacklists for all applications. The software requires automatic encryption of all registered devices to protect them from outside access to company-relevant data and e-mails. According to Comodo, a corporate Wipe function allows to delete business data on mobile devices. In addition, various reporting and audit functions should provide information about the employee's handling of company data.

Things to know about Mobile Device Management

A license allows users to use all mobile devices to their full extent. This is intended to simplify cost planning and billing, as well as guarantee a continuous security of up to five mobile devices per user. A free 30-day trial version of the Comodo Mobile Device Management software is available at mdm.comodo.com
