Outlook 2013: Use quick building blocks - Instructions

The organizer for your quick building blocks shows you all the blocks you have created.

Organize and Edit Outlook Quickstart

For texts you often need in Oulook, different signatures with these texts were created in older versions. That's not possible anymore. You can create multiple signatures, but you can only use one signature per e-mail. Here in Outlook the fast building blocks help. You can store texts, tables, and graphics in these blocks, which you can then paste into your e-mails. Here is our guide.

If you are entering a new e-mail into the text area, click on the icon "Quick building blocks" on the Insert tab to restore the created text, and then click on the corresponding entry with a mouse click.

Another way to insert the text block: Type the first letters of the name of your text block, and then press the [Enter] key. You will now see the quick building block in your e-mail.

If you are creating several fast blocks, it becomes difficult with the overview. Then a little trick helps you. Right-click on one of the fast-building blocks. Select the Organize and Delete command from the pop-up menu. The Organizer for Blocks dialog box is displayed. Select the desired module, and then click the Insert button. You can also delete unused blocks in this dialog box.

To change an existing block, first paste it into a new e-mail. Then execute the changes and save the block under the same name. The existing block will be saved after you have confirmed the confirmation to change.
