Teufel Cinebar 51 THX in test

A novelty in the sound bar segment is THX licensing. And Teufel has her as the first provider. The Berlin duo creates the most imposing sound. This is especially true when it comes to action strips.

A subwoofer with a 25-amp base driver and 150-watt amplifier power as well as a sound line with four ten-centimeter low / mid-range speakers and two aluminum tweeters are responsible for this brilliant performance. Dolby Virtual Speaker ensures the best room while sitting in front of the Cinebar. The Boundary Gain Compensation (BGC) button helps you do not amplify the root range when you are sitting near the wall - a practical feature.

Five soundbars in the test

On the end is everything necessary on board: two digital and an analog sound input, but there is no HDMI connection. The small remote control with all the important functions works a bit hesitantly, but when the movie The Dark Knight runs with Wide mode activated, the sound beam shines with a broad stage presentation and authentic spatiality, level strength also in the bass and good speech intelligibility. Stereo sound also benefits from wide mode and makes music sound more balanced.
