Windows 10 Wallpaper: Official Hero background in the video

In a new video, Microsoft shows the Hero wallpaper for Windows 10, and how it was created. The story of this article presents the official background image as a screenshot from the video, which we show you in this message. We see on the right the Windows Windows logo introduced with Windows 8, which is illuminated from the back. Transparency, multiple light cones and smoke create a futuristic, cool atmosphere.

Microsoft has built the motif - as documented in the video - real, fog machine and lighting switched on and photographed. Photoshop or comparable professional image processing programs appeared to be used afterwards.

Responsible for the futuristic design of the Windows 10 Hero Wallpapers is Bradley Munkowitz. This already created the title screen of the Kinobil Tron: Legacy (2010) and the graphical user interfaces of the computer systems in the Tom Cruise strip Oblivion (2013)

Windows 10 will be released on July 29th and will be installed on more than one billion devices within the first three years. Clearly, Microsoft does not simply leave the background image to chance or a whim of a developer: Windows wallpaper have a tradition! Many users leave the default background image after the Windows installation process

The result: Every Windows release is clearly identifiable - a grassy hill under a slightly cloudy and blue sky probably stands for almost all computer users automatically for Windows XP. Later motifs followed, which many users still remember today. Look at the following gallery

With Vista it is a yellowish-green interplay of curved lines, light cones and transparency effects, which supported the new Aero-Glass design. Windows 7 comes in the basic setting with a similar but much less playful motif with bright blue tones, a slightly shimmering light source and few curved lines in white (plus a delicate plant). On other systems, the standard wallpaper of Windows 7 can also be changed as a basic setting after the setup in 30 minutes. The most popular is probably the architecture or landscaped landscapes that provided the right motifs.

In Windows 8 it was only a sunflower in close-up, except for the one-color start screen, and an orange motif at 8.1 that contained cubic shapes analogous to the new live tiles.
