3D Systems, the specialist for 3D printers, has presented three new models for special applications at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show CES and intends to launch them in the course of 2017.
Also interesting is
The "CubeJet" baptized printer is capable of printing multi-color models and is priced at under $ 5,000 among the most cost-effective devices of its kind so far. The printing process used was developed by the 2012-bought Z Corporation and is called Color Jet Printing
In this method, the underlying main material is rolled into thin layers. By means of inkjet printing a binding agent is then printed on it - and with additional color in the binder it is possible to print multi-colored models.
Another printer is called "ChefJet" and is delivered in two versions: in addition to the normal version, which prints monochrome sugar sculptures in the size 200 x 200 x 150 mm, there is also a pro version on the market, the multi-colored confectionery with Larger volume. In particular, the gastronomy is to be prompted by the appliance. A specially designed software is designed to make the handling of the new technology as easy as possible for users. The price in the normal version is also under $ 5,000, the Pro version is to be priced at nearly $ 10,000.
It was not until the second quarter of 2017 that ceramics printers "CeraJet" came onto the market. The method used is the same as for the CubeJet and makes it possible to produce kitchenware or tiles. Complex structures can also be printed. As with the ChefJet Pro, the price is about $ 10,000.
