Test: Archicrypt Password Safe 6

The user saves login names, passwords and the associated web pages. New in version 6 are, in particular, automation functions, which are intended to facilitate the user’s handling. When logging on, the program promises, for example, to fill in and submit the login data automatically. This did not work in the test however incomplete.


Conclusion


With Firefox (8.0.1) there is an error message. With IE folds the login, but only with some sites like Facebook. For pages with changing login address (Flickr) or pop-up login fields (dropbox), nothing happens. The AES 256 tool is used for encryption. The key is password-protected or can be swapped to a stick.
