Netbooks are particularly compact laptops that come with a 10 or 11 inch display. Thanks to the limitations in system performance, they are significantly cheaper than subnotebooks at prices of around 250 Euros. For surfing, e-mailing and for Word, Excel and Co., however, your performance is sufficient.
Buying advice: The right Netbook
Netbooks are less hip than tablets, but they have the real keyboard and - as long as there is no Windows 8 - the full-fledged operating system on which any software can be installed.
Place 1: Asus EeePC 1225B (90 points)
The selection of your netbook should make you primarily dependent on its display size. Netbooks with a 10.1 inch display are particularly suitable as a mobile second device. The larger netbooks with 11.6 inch large display, however, can also be considered as a full-featured notebook - among other things because the larger display has a better keyboard.

Rank 2: Acer Aspire One 722 (82 points)
Test: Asus EeePC 1225B
The combination of AMD-E-450 processor and Radeon HD6320 graphics chip delivers rich performance. The generously dimensioned battery nevertheless allows 8-10 hours of operation away from the socket. The mosaics, however, do not convince. The Asus netbook costs around 430 euros.

The now only isolated Samsung Netbook is synonymous with the Toshiba device. The better placement is due to the cheaper price. Review: Samsung NC10-JP05
The 10.1 inch display is rather low resolution with 1024 * 600 pixels. Especially when surfing the web, the 600 pixels make a negative impression, because they have to scroll on almost all web pages. The NC10-JP05 costs around 280 euros.

Place 3: Samsung NC10-JP05 (80 points)
Review: Toshiba NB550D-11D
In view of the good system performance, it is regrettable that the display resolves with 1024 * 600 pixels and does not render HD videos in their native resolution. Users who know how to write a machine are hardly happy with the Toshiba keyboard. Too small keys can lead to frequent typing errors. The Toshiba costs from 320 euros.
4th place: Toshiba NB550D-11D (80 points)
With 1280 * 720 pixels, the 10.1 inch display of the Acer Aspire One 522 is extraordinarily high resolution. This is good for fans of HD videos who are looking forward to playing their footage in native resolution. The increased resolution also causes text to appear smaller. This can only be partially compensated for by the Windows 7 system settings.
Review: Acer Aspire One 522
The combination of an AMD C-50 processor and a Radeon graphics chip provides a lot of power. 1 GB of RAM is sufficient for Windows 7. The battery life is limited by 3.5-6 h. The Acer Aspire One 522 is priced at € 275.
Place 5: Acer Aspire One 522 (75 points)
Conclusion
