Word Tip: Automatically generate blind text

Lorem Ipsum is one of the best-known blinds

It is often a matter of having fast text for any purpose, for example, to show how images appear in the overall layout. Lorem Ipsum is such a fill or blind text that starts with the same words. It looks like Latin text, and has been used by writers since the 16th century. A function for blind text is also available in Word. In Word, enter the string = rand () in a separate line, and confirm this.

Then the program converts these characters into three text paragraphs. The text comes randomly from Windows Help. You can use numbers in brackets to specify how many paragraphs are generated with how many sentences: with = rand (5,2) five paragraphs with two sentences each.

The rand function existed already before Word 2007, only in the Vorversionen the meaningful text was issued: "Franz chases in the completely neglected taxi across Bavaria." This text contains all the letters of the alphabet and helps to check special fonts. For nostalgics, Microsoft also allows this option in newer versions of Word: = rand.old () supplies the old "Franz chasing ...". At www.loremipsum.de you can find the above-mentioned latinized text.
