After Facebook's whatsapp takeover, speculation about the future direction of the Messenger app came up. According to the social network, no user data of the two services have yet been combined. However, one could integrate advertising models from the Messenger after a test phase in Whatsapp, according to Marcus.
However, instead of a traditional advertising financing, Facebook makes other considerations. In the space stands Whatsapp to offer companies as a communication tool to get in contact with their customers.
