According to Reference comes Vento. Canton’s Vento line has inherited many of the ingredients of the reference boxes, so it is qualitatively close to the reference status.

In addition to the bow shape and wall thickness, the internal stiffening is also responsible for the fact that possible self-resonances are pushed into a frequency range, which is not stimulated by the chassis at all. The down-port of the stand-alone loudspeakers, ie the down-radiating bass-reflex opening, is primarily intended to couple the bass range independently of the set-up.


The central point of the loudspeaker development is the mid-range loudspeaker: in order for the loudspeaker not to "sound", the radiation behavior should be as equal as possible over frequency. If, for example, the mids are conveyed much more bundled in the direction of the listening position than the treble, then a sound is pre-programmed.


The basis for the driver is, as with almost all Canton speakers, an aluminum diaphragm. It provides high stiffness in relation to weight. But this alone does not make a good driver.


In order to operate as broadly as possible, two parameters must be given special attention: on the one hand, a large linear hover is required to reproduce even lower frequencies without distortion, and on the other hand a special diaphragm geometry in order to play distortion in the upper centers and at the same time a broad radiation


Thanks to its "S" -shaped construction, the patented "Wave-Bead" allows a linear stroke of up to 80%. And thanks to the special diaphragm shape, the partial oscillations are minimized and moved to a higher frequency range.


The subwoofer is even more suitable for the freedom of movement of the midrange driver. The 30s chassis creates nearly twice the stroke thanks to wave beats.


At the other end of the range is a newly developed tweeter. The small aluminum oxide dome is located in the center of a "transmission front plate", a short sound guide, which gives the sound in the lower transmission range of the tweeter a defined directivity. This increases the so-called "radiation resistance" in this frequency range.


The tweeter achieves the same level with less lift - and that means less distortion. The immensely stable ceramic dome vibrates up to 38 kilohertz without a significant level drop.


In sum, all of these measures influence the sound clearly. The Canton set plays extremely fine-resolution and the center speaker with very good speech intelligibility, while the dynamic potential is from the depths to the heights first cream.
