Kabel Deutschland: throttling terms for old contracts

Internetprovider Kabel Deutschland is currently informing customers that current terms and conditions, including Internet throttling, are also applicable to old contracts. This concerns customers who have completed their Internet contract before August 2009. To date, these have not been affected by file sharing restrictions, where increased data throughput results in a deceleration of the guaranteed surf speed to 100 kbit / s.

More about Kabel the United States

Currently, Kabel Deutschland reduces the Internet speed if the daily data throughput exceeds a total volume of 60 GB. In the General Terms and Conditions the Internetprovider has the right to activate the throttling already with a transferred volume of 10 GB, if mainly file-sharing applications provided for the consumption. There is no Internet traffic through surfing or streaming music or movies.

In the past few years, Kabel Deutschland, Maurice Böhler, said: "The telecommunications market has developed and changed extremely in recent years, And / or telephone contract before August 2009 with us, now also the current general terms and conditions. "

In the middle of 2017 the district court of Munich had condemned Kabel Deutschland because of misleading advertising, the reference to the throttling was not clear enough. In addition to adapting the advertisements, the provider had to pay a fine of 250,000 euros.

According to the adjusted costs of the middle of 2017, the new general terms and conditions are now also applicable to old contracts.

Explore2fs Download

Explore2fs is a simple-knit and easy-to-use file manager for the ext2 and ext3 file systems. The freeware for Windows can not only access physical drives, but also comes with the new version with virtual drives. The user can open the following volume types: Hard Disk, Floppy Disk, LS120, ZIP & Jazz, USB & CF and CDROM. In addition, experimental support is provided for the ReiserFS.

Conclusion of the comparison test

Very pleasing is the fact that switching off all devices in the test field means the power off. Equally saving resources are all immediate breaks on the devices. Pressing the respective button on the unit will end the print without terminating the current page or even the current print job before the abort.

Conclusion of the comparison test

This saves expensive ink and print media. The Lexak 2170 is a very economical printer for office use. The Lexmark 2170 consumes a lot of money on high-quality photo paper. Here, a photoprint on A4 photo paper costs about 2.60 euro, a 10 x 15 cm photo is about 44 cent (Lexmark) and 41 cent (Brother)

Test winner: Brother DCP-J925DW

Further operating costs can be saved with the duplex units of the Brother, Lexmark and HP devices. When this function is activated, pages are automatically printed on the front and rear, which reduces the paper costs for multi-page documents by half.

Kodak and Canon only provide manual double-sided printing on your equipment in the test area, and the pages must be rotated manually after the first pass. A brief "Rotary instruction" appears on the screen.

Brother was with the DCP-J925DW test winner due to the good technical equipment of the model and the good to very good quality and speed results. The Brother could also score points with the low costs.

All other devices were at the same level with the test winner in print quality. The point distribution differs mainly in the categories of equipment, output speed and subsequent costs.

The up-to-date model from Brother went straight to the test in time - and despite the lack of faxing the test went. The model impressed with top ratings, in terms of print quality, printing speed, equipment, and the following costs, in all respects.

Except for the low paper stock and the often denied last photo paper template, Brother is a very good litter, which meets especially the extensive requirements at home and in small offices without fax needs. The all-in-one is available from the end of August.

External exotics with and without radio connection

Special requirements often require special measures and expenditure. If, for example, smartphone power users run out of storage because they love to watch Hollywood movies on the road, then only an external hard drive with WLAN connection actually helps, because smartphones read micro SD cards mostly only up to 32 GB. The “modern” phones have no more card slot and Apple’s iPhone anyway not. Wireless-based solutions are available, for example, from Seagate and Toshiba. Very trendy is the Samsung T1. The Mini SSD transfers data extremely quickly thanks to a good controller.

Samsung Portable SSD T1

The mobile SSD T1 (form factor MO-300) is hardly bigger than a lighter and very stylish and flat. The 3D VNAND data memory must first be "enabled" by means of a tool. Only a 128 MB partition with the software to be installed is visible. "Encryption" activates 256-bit encryption if desired. The T1 achieves good read and write rates of 270 and 296 MB / s respectively. If you would like to buy this mini-design memory, you will pay 200 MB for 200 MB and for 1 TB for only 400 Euro.

Toshiba Canvio AeroMobile

On the laptop you can move data with the AeroMobile via the USB 3.0 bus. In the test lab, the disk transfer rates of 126 and 138 MByte / s via the USB 3.0 cable - too little. From an SSD, we expect the 300 MB / s. The WLAN connection via app runs smoothly. The fun transfer remains modest with 3.5 MByte / s however. Even our full-HD test videos do not play without misfire. The app itself is very clear. For example, you can conveniently copy data from an inserted SD card to the SSD. Price: 120 euros.

Seagate Wireless HDD

Seagate's wireless hard drive is interesting for smartphone owners who have a space problem. Seagate offers a media app for iOS, Android, Amazon and Windows operating systems, which allows you to stream movies and music directly from the HDD. Direct access is possible under Windows. To do this, you must enable network sharing. The SharePublic-01 can then be easily integrated as a network drive. The power of the Seagate with 3.4 or 7.1 MByte / s in the up- or download is only sufficient.

AVM advises to Fritzbox Update: hackers use old security gap

The Fritz box security gap of February concerned the users who had activated the remote access via port 443 and had a telephone function. This allowed fraudulent hackers to attack without notice and telephone fraud by means of automated remote calls and telephone “value-added services” – which the users then only noticed on their telephone bill. AVM had closed this gap with a security update already in February. A detailed update guide is provided by the manufacturer.

Also interesting is

Now AVM feels compelled to warn again this old gap. Obviously, there are still enough systems with the outdated firmware to make fraudulent the target target worthwhile. How AVM in "Neues von FRITZ!" , Which is only "a negligible proportion of all installed devices", but the amount of damage can be considerable in case of abuse.

According to AVM, users should definitely install the update, check the user interface for unknown IP telephones, remove them if necessary, and assign new passwords.

VPN on the router with Tomato, DD-WRT, OpenWRT & Co.

Users who want to travel anonymously on the Internet are going online via a VPN connection. The disadvantage of this method is that it is device-based. If a user has installed the software of the VPN provider on his desktop PC, it does not work when he is online with his tablet. Here is an app. However, if a VPN provider does not provide apps for Android and / or iOS, the user can manually configure the VPN connection. However, this is not an option for smart TVs, video game consoles, Blu-ray players, and other network-enabled devices, as there is no way to set up a VPN connection.

Preparatory work

This is where Tomato, DD-WRT and OpenWRT come into play. Simply put, this is router firmware that has been modified by resourceful developers and extended by additional features. One of the most important hacks is the possibility to set up the VPN connection directly in the router so that all devices connected to the router are on the Internet through a VPN server.

VPN firmware to flashen the router

The only problem: Only selected router models can be operated with such a firmware. You can find out which devices are supported in detail on the homepages of the respective developers.

Basic setup of the router

In this article, we are exploring the Tomato firmware for an Asus RT-N66U version B.1.

Configure VPN connection

Important: The flashing of a device with a modified firmware is a risky subject, which in an extreme case can cause the router to be booted. Users who do not want to take the risk can buy a router at Flashrouters.com, which is already configured for use with a freely selectable VPN provider. Supported are Hide My Ass, CyberGhost, and VyprVPN.

Before you get to work, you first have to download and unpack all necessary files. On the one hand, this is the recovery tool, with which you can upload the modified Tomato firmware to your Asus router. On the other hand, this is the firmware itself.

You can download the recovery tool from the support section of the Asus homepage. Make sure you load the version for Windows 7 and play the same.

The modified firmware can be found on the developer's page. Click Download, select Tomato Firmwares, and choose the appropriate kernel. If you are not quite sure which one is suitable for your router, check the supported devices via Help and Router List. In the Version column, you will find the information you are looking for. In this example, we use the all-in-one version of the K26RT-N kernel: tomato- K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-132-AIO.zip.

If you already have experience with the rooting of Android devices, the basic approach may seem familiar. To install a firmware that is not signed by the manufacturer, you must first set the router to the restoration mode.

If not, disconnect the power supply from the unit. On the back of the Asus router, there is a push button between the two USB ports and the WAN port that is connected to the DSL port or modem - the reset switch. Press this switch with a pointed object downwards, plug the power cable back on and hold the reset switch until the power LED flashes.

On the computer that is connected to the router by LAN cable, click Start / All Programs / ASUS Utility / RT-N66U Wireless Router and Firmware Restoration to start the tool of the same name. Click Browse, browse to the directory where the unzipped firmware file is stored, and then select the TRX file. Click Upload and confirm the warning, which indicates that the firmware is not intended for the router, with Yes. Now the modified firmware is transferred to the device, which can take several minutes.

Do not switch off the router during flashing! When the process is completed, the router will restart automatically. The Firmware Restoration tool issues an error message stating that contact with the wireless device failed. Ignore this message. You can check it all easily by checking the wireless networks with a WLAN-enabled device: If the WLANs Tomato24 and Tomato50 were switched on, the flashing was successful.

Now the basic configuration of the router is on the program. Call up the IP address 192.168.1.1 in the browser, and log on with the root account and admin password to open the Tomato configuration interface. Before you go to the basic configuration, it is advisable to delete all old settings.

In the left column, select Administration and click Configuration. Under Restore Default Configuration, select Erase all data in NVRAM memory (thorough) and confirm with OK twice to start the process. Then set up the router as usual. Of course, the Internet connection you can access via Basic / Network / WAN / Internet, as well as WLAN security: Basic / Network / Wireless

A number of (paying) anonymization services can be used for integration into the router, such as Hide my Ass, Perfect Privacy or Goldenfrog.

On Goldenfrog, go to the Goldenfrog.com/DE/vyprvpn/vpn-apps page, select the Router menu, click Step-by-Step VPN Router setup instructions, and copy the code that appears in step 4. Make sure you select the code that matches the CPU of your router!

Go to the router configuration screen, click Tools and System Commands, add the just copied command, and then execute it with Execute. If everything worked out, the message installation successful can be seen.

Press the F5 key to refresh the web page, which now appears in a new design. In the left column, select VYPRVPN, click Connection, type your credentials, and then click LOG IN. Then select the desired VPN site and the encryption method, and then click CONNECT

Very interesting is the function Per Device VPN, since you can specify here which devices can only go online if a VPN connection exists. To do this, click Connected Devices next to the desired device and select VPN Required

Canon introduces EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R with a 50 megapixel sensor

With the 50-megapixel sensor, Canon wants to set a new standard: According to the Canon, the EOS 5DS is currently the most high-resolution full-frame reflex camera. The camera comes in two model variants, which differ only in a small detail. The Canon EOS 5DS has an active low-pass filter, the Canon EOS 5DS R was deactivated by a second canceling filter. This should contribute to even more sharpness in the image.

Wide-angle lens EF 11-24mm 1: 4L USM

Both EOS cameras have a Dual DIGIC 6 image processor and 61 autofocus measuring panels. 41 of which are cross sensors. To support the high-resolution sensor, Canon has strengthened the chassis. This is intended to minimize vibrations. Controls and appearance of the housing are not significantly different from the 5D Mark III (Test).

With the full-format DSLR, thanks to the high resolution, an artificial crop mode is also possible. This simulates a smaller sensor and allows a higher focal length with lower resolution. In the 1.3x mode are 30.5 megapixel resolution possible, at 1.6x it is still 19 megapixels. The crop options are placed as a mask over the viewfinder, allowing the photographer to choose the right image.

In addition to the two new full-format cameras, Canon has also introduced a wide-angle lens of the high-quality L series. The EF 11-24mm 1: 4L USM should not record despite the low focal range and accurately represent straight lines. This makes the lens particularly suitable for landscape and architectural photography. With a close-range limit of 24mm, it is also flexible to use and allows a wide range of image design.

Both cameras will be available in June 2017. The Canon EOS 5DS (body) will cost 3,499 euros, the body of the EOS 5DS R 3,699 euros. The lens EF 11-24mm 1: 4L USM is available from March 2017 at the price of 2.999 euros.

Delsey Toppix 240 in the test - camera bag

The Delsey Toppix 240 comes with its round, minimalist design. The material made of graphite gray polyester 900D looks visually classy, but feels less like a haptic feel: it feels paper-stiff and does not impart a particularly solid finish as a non-fixed coating – a rather unusual shortcoming for the Delsey brand. The workmanship is high-quality.

Test Conclusion

The Delsey Toppix 240 differs from the other test candidates not only on the outside, but also conceptually: Access to the pleasing, triple, carmine-equipped camera roof is achieved by two parallel zips on the sides. Completely against dust and moisture, however, the bag can not be locked, especially since it is equipped with a magnetic closure in the front area. The lid of the Delsey Toppix 240 can be opened wide, but always folds down and closes itself independently over the magnet. On the one hand, this is a good protection against Langfinger in the urban garbage, on the other hand you always need two free hands to grab the equipment. Small parts and memory cards can be stored in a flat, organized slot under the cover on the front.

Criticism must be the Delsey Toppix 240 in terms of safety: the two dividers of the camera body are not padded in the lower area, also the side walls only moderately, so that bumps are badly buffered or not at all. Savings were also made with the shoulder strap, which has to do without a shoulder piece. Likewise, we have a carrying handle and a raincape missing to protect the bag against dust, rain and moisture.

The design of the Delsey Toppix 240 is so minimal in appearance, but the equipment and comfort are also very minor. The main criticisms are the insufficient upholstery and the low protection against moisture and moderate wear comfort. A nice weather bag for the unspectacular city tour with fast access.

Windows 10 features in Windows 7 and Windows 8 unlock

Only at the end of 2017 the new Windows 10 comes onto the market – with many exciting features. Do not you want to wait so long? Then you should miss the Windows 7 or 8 with the following tricks and tools the most important functions as well as the look of Windows 10. The advantage: instead of the still faulty test version of the new operating system, you keep your stable and secure Windows

TIP 1: Return the Start menu with Classic Shell and Start8

One of the most popular features in Windows 8 is probably for most users the missing start menu with the start button. For Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 both were present. Without it, however, it is unfamiliar for many users to open the programs installed on the computer. Microsoft has heard the complaints of the users and at Windows 8.1 at least the start button brought back. The corresponding start menu comes however only with the new version of the operating system. But fortunately, there are several tools that you can use to convert Windows 8.1 to your operating system.

TIP 2: Show open applications in the foreground

The "Start8" program not only returns the start menu but also some other practical functions. After the installation, you will be able to choose between two styles: Windows 7 or Windows 8. The latter works with live tiles, just like Windows 10. There is next to the apps and programs on the computer also a weather tile to see. If you want to change the look later, right-click on the start button and select Configure Start8. Here you will also find the additional functions. You can equip the start button with your own image and set it under the Desktop tab if your computer shows the UI-view (formerly Metro) or the desktop. In addition, you can deactivate the Charms Bar and all active screens in Windows 8 on Start 8. You can try Start8 for 30 days for free, you only have to register with your e-mail address. After that, you'll need to buy the program for $ 5 (about $ 4.50).

TIP 3: Place tile apps in the desktop window using ModernMix

A very good free alternative is "Classic Shell". It is less reminiscent of the start menu look of Windows 10, but more of the Windows 7. If you want, even get the Windows XP to your desktop. Therefore, the tool may also be of interest to Windows 7 users who prefer the older view. After the installation, no window opens, but the start menu is simply available. However, you can customize it individually. To do this, right-click on the start button and select the English-language settings. This determines the style of the Start menu. Choose from Classic, Classic with two columns (with two columns) or Windows 7 style.

TIP 4: Voice Control and Notification Center with Google

Lesetipp: Windows 10 Startup in the Windows 7 Look

Confirm with OK. In the settings you also change the design of the startbuttons - with predefined symbols or your own pictures. In the Basic Settings tab, you can define the type of click in the start button. The default is for a left-click to open the Start menu. Under Customize Start Menu, you can determine whether the start menu entries known from Windows 7, such as network, printer or computer, should appear. From the Start menu, simply navigate to the Windows 8 tiled view with the apps. ClassicShell displays the Home icon.

With a mouse click or a key combination, you get all open applications, files and folders in the foreground: This practical feature for more clarity brings Windows 10 under the name "TaskView". But this idea is not new. Mac users know this function long ago under the name "Expose", Linux is called "Compiz". Also with Windows Vista and Windows 7 "Flip 3D" all currently used applications can be displayed at a glance. However, this is unfortunately quite wooden and is still impractical, because the windows appear three-dimensionally behind each other. TaskView should work much better and look more elegant. Until Windows 10 appears, get the feature with a free tool on your computer. Switcher was originally developed for Windows Vista but also works with Windows 7 and 8. It shows all applications side by side as smaller windows on the darkened desktop in the background. If you click on one, the program will be displayed in full screen. When you open Switcher, you specify how the applications are displayed in the overview: as tiles, different sizes and at which point of the screen. Under Shortcuts, you define which key combination Switcher is to be used with.

Not every Windows 8 user has gotten used to the tile apps - certainly not to the strict separation between desktop and formerly Metro named UI view. Especially when using Windows 8 on a normal computer without touch screen, this division is tedious. So far, it is not possible to use the tiles on the desktop, so users are always forced to jump back and forth depending on whether you are using a program or an app. This changes Microsoft with Windows 10 and introduces the Universal Apps. These can be used not only in the UI view, but also in moveable desktop windows, and the artificial separation between the work surfaces is eliminated.

Lesetipp: Windows 10 as a free upgrade for Windows 7 and 8.1

This function is now available on the Windows 8 computer with the English-language program ModernMix. This allows you to store apps from the Windows Store directly on your desktop. Once you have opened MetroMix, right-click on it for each app that you want to create a shortcut on the desktop. To do this, select Create shortcut to this application on my desktop. Convenient: These apps can then be stapled to the taskbar for quick access. In the settings, you also specify how the program should be opened, depending on where you open it. For example, the mail app can run from the desktop in a small window, while it can be seen in full-screen mode when it is opened in the UI start screen.

Another plus: The tiles finally get the typical Windows cross in the upper right corner and are thus closed more easily. By the way, you can also install ModernMix when you download Start8 (see Tip 1). The program can be tried for 30 days free of charge after a registration, then the manufacturer Stardock once demand 4.99 euros.

Cortana know Windows Phone 8.1 users already, with Windows 10 the language assistant also comes to the desktop. It will probably be accessible via a magnifying glass on the taskliste and can answer questions. Microsoft does not reveal what functions it brings with it. New in Windows 10 will be a notification center in the taskliste, which reminds you about appointments.

You can use both features in Google 7 and 8 with Google. Google's language assistant helps only with the Internet search - but this makes them much brighter. To use the assistant, you need a microphone, notebooks are equipped as standard. Install Google's Chrome browser and visit www.google.com. Click on the microphone next to the search field and confirm in the following pop-up window that you can call the assistant by language. If you now have the browser window open and say OK Google, the language search is activated and you can ask your question. The answer will be displayed in the search results.

Google also brings a kind of notification center, using Google Now. You must have Google Now enabled on your smartphone and log into the Chrome browser on your computer with the same Google account. Google Now also shows on the computer, as on the mobile phone, information that might interest the user, such as the weather or the latest news

TIP 5: More features for the input prompt with ConEmu

But Google Now is even smarter: if you have an appointment in your Google Calendar, the program checks the traffic situation in the background and shows you the route. In addition, you will be reminded in time if there is a traffic jam and you should leave earlier. This information is displayed in the lower right corner of the taskbar, where you will find a bell icon. With a click on it, you can define which notifications Google Now should output and which not. You can also turn them off completely for certain periods if you do not want to be disturbed.

The input prompt is also available in the current versions of Windows, even if it is used less frequently than before. Now and then you need the possibility to enter commands yet, for example, to start analysis programs. In Windows 8, you can get the input prompt by right-clicking the Windows icon at the bottom left. But the input request has not changed for years and is quite cumbersome to use, because much does not work, which one is accustomed with the Windows operation. In Windows 10, the tool surprisingly adds a few new features to the tool. The usual keyboard shortcuts such as [Ctrl] + [C] and [Ctrl] + [V] should then be usable. Finally, it becomes easier to mark text parts. If you want to use such an improved input prompt now, use free tools like ConEmu. At first glance, the English-language program looks like the Windows input prompt, but it brings a lot more possibilities. You can highlight text with the [Shift] key and use [Ctrl] + [V] to insert text blocks. ConEmu also has a search field and works with tabs. If you had to open several windows at the Windows prompt, one is enough. Under Settings / Features / Transparency let ConEmu become transparent so that it does not completely cover the background. In addition, there are numerous other configuration options for the tool.

Search engine optimization: SEO and online marketing for customer growth

How do you alert your customers to your business? And how do you teach them that this could be of benefit to them? When you ask service providers and freelancers such questions, you usually notice quickly: They have not formulated a marketing and sales strategy for their company, although the marketing and sales process is a core process in every company. As a rule, their marketing and sales activities are as random-controlled as they are, and their order volume is often fluctuating.

Urgent action

Even more dismayed in the area of online marketing. Most personal service providers, such as trainers, consultants and coaches, have never dealt systematically with the question: How can I ensure that potential customers can reach me or my company as quickly as possible with their search queries at Google & Co.? Most of them share the illusion: if a web page of mine is on the World Wide Web, I have done my homework.

The marketing aids then switch some AdWords ads and believe that they can relax behind them. A real online marketing strategy, however, is not. This is becoming more and more important for the marketing and sales success of consultants, no matter what color. The purchase and media usage behavior of their potential customers has changed considerably in recent years.

Tip 1: List search terms

If, for example, you are looking for an IT, management, sales or tax consultant today, you usually enter the relevant search terms at Google & Co. And by using the search results shown, you can see who a potential supporter could be. It is therefore very important for consultants to be displayed as far ahead as possible in the search engines' search engines, so that their potential customers can consider them as potential sponsors.

Tip 2: Analyze Keywords

The following tips explain how consulting and other service providers should make sense when developing an online marketing strategy.

First of all - outgoing from your business field - create a list of all relevant terms that potential customers might be looking for providers of their services on the net. Do not forget the conceptual variations. For example, the terms "sales training", "sales training", "sales training", "selling seminar" and "sales training"

Then use Google's (free) Google AdWords tool to analyze how often your terms are listed as Google search terms. In the second step, consider which of the frequently used terms are actually used by your target customers.

For example, the terms "sales training" and "sales seminars" tend to be more common in the capital goods industry, whereas sales are more likely to be "sales training" or "sales training". And when men and women are interested in continuing to become a coach, they often give the idea of "coach training" to Google, even if the "training" is actually an advanced training.

Enter the really relevant terms as keywords on Google & Co. See how many of your competitors are running AdWords ads, and what organizations are on the first two hit pages. If, for example, many universities and large companies or, as with the term "coaching", many associations and trade journals, as in the terms "project management" or "personnel management", answer the following question: I have the best means of optimizing my website A realistic chance to land far ahead?

If this is not the case, consider whether it would be more appropriate to place your website on certain search terms such as "Coaching Rhein-Main" or "Personalmanagement Mittelstand", or more specific terms such as "Change" or "Vertriebs- Coaching ".

Decide on the search terms used to optimize your website. More than half a dozen terms should not be the case for the mostly narrow-browed websites of coaches and consultants. For the search terms, differentiate between the one or two top terms or search term combinations, where your website must always land at the front and those with whom you can live with a high-end result.

Think about the extent to which you can also press releases on (free) PR portals like open-pr.de or offen-pr.de in the hit lists Can land. Or with specialist articles on editorial online portals such as unternehmer.de or business-wissen.de. This is because the links generated by the press releases or articles can reach your target customers via your detours.

Optimize the (source) text of your website for the search terms you have chosen. For example, if you optimize a page to "Personnel Consulting", make sure that this is several times on the page .

Tip 3: Analyze Competition

Turn off AdWords ads, if your budget allows it, for the less competitive and cheaper terms that you have not optimized your web ads. Make sure that the terms are very specific - for example "sales management" or "sales control" - so that the scatter losses are low.

Also, if you need to be fast, you may need to periodically limit AdWords ads for the terms you've optimized your website after (first) optimizing your website. Because it takes some time until the optimized page in the Google ranking climbs up.

Tip 4: Defining and categorizing keywords

A central factor for Google ranking is how many links point to the web page. Therefore, with colleagues, customers, and suppliers, you should therefore exclude so-called link partnerships: refer them to their pages. In addition, enter your contact information in addition to the web address in all possible (free) online branch directories. Additionally, you can regularly publish press releases about your products and services in the PR portals where everyone can publish press releases free of charge so that more and more links to your website are created.

In addition to your core themes, you will also be able to regularly submit specialist articles, which include your contact information, and offer these editorial press portals. Because your publications there or links to it are evaluated by Google higher than publications of PR portals on which every manure can be published.

The Google rankings are constantly changing - among other things because the search engine regularly changes its criteria. In addition, your competitors are not inactive. For this reason, use a Google Analytics program to monitor how your website develops with regard to the search terms you have de termined.

Tip 5: Optimize website

Tip 6: Turn on AdWords ads if necessary

Tip 7: Create as many links as possible to your website

Tip 8: Provide a clever online PR for detours

Tip 9: Check the web presence regularly

From the results, you'll be able to see very well what terms you should optimize your website, and for what reasons you might be promoting AdWords ads and where you can save money in the future because your website is hosted at a Search is already displayed very far in front.

The effort is worth it. When you're optimizing your website, keep in mind: The faster, easier, and more often your website is found by your target customers on the web, the less time and money do you have to invest in your marketing. Therefore, your commitment is worthwhile.

Streaming service Wuaki.tv announces the United States launch

The Spanish streaming service Wuaki.tv wants to expand into three new European countries this year. In France, the video-on-demand service is to be activated already in the summer. The start is planned for the United States and Italy at the end of the year. In total, Wuaki.tv is to be extended to eleven European countries by the end of 2017. In Spain, the service was launched in 2010, followed by Great Britain in 2013.

Wuaki.tv offers a wide selection of films and TV shows, both for renting and for sale. Users can view the content on a variety of devices including the Xbox game consoles, smart TVs, tablets, smartphones, and computers.

Wuaki.tv will compete with the American market. For the US streaming service Netflix has announced its appearance in the United States still for the year 2017. The established video-on-demand providers react differently to the growing competition. While Maxdome boss Andreas Heyden is looking forward to more competition, Watchever seems to be frightened by the competition: sales rumors are circulating through the video-on-demand service.

Four stereo compact speakers tested

Stereo compact speakers tested

It is no longer a secret that most modern flat-screen televisions display super images, but the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. In fact, it is a tremendous challenge for the sound engineers to conjure a bass-strong sound reproduction with the picture-makers from partial housings, which are barely two centimeters flat. It is known to require a few liters of housing volume and an adequate low / mid-tone chassis.

The hearing test

Today's largely frameless TV sets exacerbate the precarious situation: Small loudspeakers with barely four centimeters in diameter have to sit behind and radiate indirectly over the back wall to the listener. Since the television experience not only lives from the picture, but also from the sound, there is a need for action here. Especially if you want to stream music from the Internet via the TV.

Conclusion

Two Blu-ray complete systems tested

There remains only the option: Audio upgrade. This means you must either add active boxes, which are directly controlled by the line output of the TV, or an amplifier box combination. If it is not equal to a home cinema, then it is enough for the good sound a pair of stereo compact boxes. In the price range of 700 to 800 euros, you get really good sound transducers, which also leave nothing to be desired in the case of music performances - from manufacturers who understand their craft.

In view of the technical finesse of all candidates, we were eager to listen to the hearing test. The two smaller loudspeakers of ELAC and KEF were the first to go through the listening stage. At the same time, sound differences and preferences were made: while the ELAC boxes played their way through their analytical, best-performing gait, the KEF pair scored with a closed, effortless visualization of the acoustic event

Four surround speaker sets in test

Small, intimate ensembles were able to place the tonally rather warm-timed KEF boxes with the best picture in front of the hearing jury. The Kiel smallboxes were more reminiscent of detail-loving studios, which showed relentlessly all the errors of the recording.

Between Heco and Nubert less clear differences could be heard. The Heco boxes with their high efficiency played forward and were very dynamic, but sometimes a bit nervous. Also the rich bass fundament convinced. The Nubert couple scored the most with their calm, unobtrusive and always correct style.

Here, there was no tonal preference, in all frequency bands it had almost the full control over the incoming tone signal. Not only the bass precision, but also the neutral mid-range and the high-frequency sector without a set-up luster.

From an objective point of view, Nubert is the test winner. Subjectively, each of the other three candidates has its merits.

Mastercard & Visa against VPN service provider: payments blocked

If you want to protect your privacy while surfing the net and do not want to read and log your own internet provider and the large government data such as Prism or Tempora, this can be achieved via a VPN provider. Users can disguise their IP addresses by connecting to the VPN provider through an encrypted connection, which then forwards the requests.

Credit card companies see this critically. Mastercard and Visa boycott the payments of users to VPN providers. The Swedish VPN service providers IPredator and Payson are affected, as other examples are the services Anonine, Mullvad, VPNTunnel and Privatvpn. As there are other ways of payment, this does not mean the end of the VPN offer, which makes the operation more difficult.

Of course, VPN services have long been under criticism, because this can also mask the file sharing of protected content. However, the timing of the payment locks appears to be a very strange coincidence in the United States (Prism), in England (Tempora), and now also in France (DGSE) Br>

IT Security Report: Companies and authorities must work together

This year’s Munich Security Conference made it clear, and CeBIT 2012 took the same course with its motto “Managing Trust”: IT security, which is far more than just the protection against attacks on the IT systems in companies and authorities. While the issue of hacking sensitive data is certainly the more spectacular threat, it is at least as difficult as the issue of IT security.

IT security more important than ever

What is presented under this term in contract works and manuals rather inconspicuous, simply means: The functioning of the IT infrastructure must be guaranteed at all times. The fact that this is not a matter of course has been demonstrated by Stuxnet, the computer pest, which has allowed critical systems - here industrial equipment - to be sabotaged.

The private economy and the authorities must work together

What happens if our communication networks fail? What in the suburban traffic is at worst an unpleasant companion of the winter, can not be ignored simply with regard to the IT. Authorities, infrastructure and utilities are becoming more and more "intelligent", they are increasingly networked. As a company, we are much more dependent on functioning IT systems than the broad population is aware of.

The more intelligent our networks, the more susceptible they are to mistakes and sabotage. An IT infrastructure, which sets high standards with regard to operational safety, ensures that our company works - quite unintentionally in the background. The importance of IT operational security for the functioning of our society is therefore already immense and it will continue to grow.

But who is responsible for an intact IT infrastructure? IT manufacturers - some more, some less - have always offered solutions that meet high security standards, especially for critical systems by protecting data, ensuring data redundancy - for example, by mirroring at two remote locations - and transparency about the location of data storage Ensure the accesses, but also protect the terminals which, if they fall into the wrong hands, quickly become an incidence gateway into otherwise functioning systems.

The manufacturers will not cope with this task in the first attempt. In order to ensure the operational security of our supply systems, the private sector and the authorities must work hand in hand.

First examples show how it can work: The Federal Network Agency and the national cyber-defense center conducted last year's comprehensive crisis management exercise LÜKEX 2011 and examined how the state can defend a massive cyber attack.

And the Japanese government has recently passed a law requiring attacks to be reported to a specially constituted body. In addition to agency representatives, he also includes experts from IT companies such as Fujitsu.

The main goal of information technology is to better manage situations with the help of intelligent infrastructures and solutions and to restore vital support functions quickly.

Information security has long since ceased to be a private affair. The defense against attacks on our core infrastructure can only be achieved if we understand it as a whole social task. Rolf Schwirz

3D Gaming: Nvidia 3D Vision, PC Games on Passive TV, Splitscreen & Co.

If you want to enjoy stereoscopic 3D games from the PC on the monitor with Nvidia 3D Vision 2 or on the (passive) 3D TV with polarization technology, you will find all the information in this 3D guide.

3D Gaming & Co .: Basic Requirements

In 2010, Stereo 3D was the big trend at the IFA - the International Radio Exhibition. Not only have TV, monitors, Blu-ray players, AV receivers and, of course, PCs and game consoles been able to cope with the enormous amounts of data and the formats used, thanks to transmission standards such as HDMI 1.4a currently. A suitable HDMI connection is now found in almost all current devices for entertainment electronics.

3D Gaming: Case 1 - Nvidia 3D Vision 2 at the PC

Lesetipp: HDMI wireless - so it's

3D Gaming: Case 2 - Nvidia 3D Vision 2 with Polarization TV + 3DTV Play

In this article, we will focus on the latest 3D techniques. In conjunction with the PC, we will focus on Nvidia's "3D Vision 2" technology. We cling to the obsolete and somewhat unsatisfying anaglyph technique with red-cyan, red-green or red-blue spectacles. The current techniques are, on the one hand, the active shutter technology and, on the other hand, the polarization technique known to you from the 3D cinema.

3D Gaming: Case 3 - Nvidia 3D Vision 2 with Passive TV and EDID Override

In the former technique, a screen display rapidly alternates between the left and right eyes, requiring at least 120 hertz at the refresh rate of the monitor. An active pair of glasses with correspondingly synchronized locks for both eyes ensures that every eye gets the right picture in a fast change. Advantage: There is no loss of brightness and as a rule, the user enjoys real Full HD. Disadvantage: The glasses are expensive - a Nvidia 3D Vision 2 glasses to be retrofitted costs about 100 euros.

In the case of the passive polarization technique, a screen divides the vertical resolution, the two necessary individual images for the 3D effect are arranged line-wise and alternately. The screen illuminates one line with normal, and the next line with polarized light. Glasses with a "normal" glass and another glass, which only transmits polarized light, ensure that the eyes see the correct single image.

Then the brain can recognize the 3D effect and interpret it accordingly. It does not require 120 hertz on the screen. Advantage: The glasses are considerably cheaper. Disadvantage: The full-HD resolution of a Blu-ray is only half the vertical, and usually a more or less diminishing brightness loss, because each single frame in practice is only half the LCD illumination of the screen

At least one HDMI connection with the specified HDMI 1.4a specification for each device involved is essential if you want to use Stereo 3D in conjunction with classical entertainment electronics such as TV and AV receivers. If only the PC is involved, with a given hardware - we chose Nvidia 3D Vision 2 - a dual-link DVI cable as a connection cable between PC and monitor. This is usually included with the corresponding monitors. In this technique, you need an Nvidia graphics card.

Of course, the performance of the PC should not be too tight: for stereo 3D a computer has the double load - it has to calculate in parallel two individual images for one eye each. Where an ordinary office PC would be enough for movies, game components such as Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 would require hardware components from the high-end area to enjoy 3D in combination with the best possible visual appearance Code>

Depending on which games you want to enjoy in 3D, take a look at the respective official system requirements. The default values always refer to classic 2D games. Count on it generously, so that the 3D gaming experience does not hinder too little hardware. Otherwise, it is often helpful to have a look at the official forums for the respective game for more specific information.

Nvidia 3D Vision or the improved edition Nvidia 3D Vision 2 is based on Active Shutter technology. A monitor with at least 120 hertz alternates the image for the left and right eye. To synchronize the shutter glasses, a dongle or a certified monitor, which has already installed such a transmitter, is required. The Asus VG278HR with a built-in 3D dongle and supplied Nvidia 3D Vision 2 glasses is recommended.

If the hardware is connected and the monitor is detected, you only need to call up the Nvidia system control and activate Stereo 3D. In games, many are supported by the house, call the 3D mode with the standard key combination "CTRL + T". With "Ctrl" + "F3" and "Ctrl" + "F4" you can adjust the depth effect. A 3D laser guide helps you to select the screen center. This makes sense with ego-shooters - you do not always want to go past.

Nvidia 3D Vision 2 supports only certified monitors, which can provide the 3D glasses with enough pictures (at least 120 hertz). If you want to use a polarization TV, the world of Nvidia 3D will not be closed. If a passive TV is connected to your graphics card via HDMI, change the screen output under Windows to "Duplicate". Then the Nvidia driver detects a connected polarization TV and automatically provides 3DTV Play mode.

3D gaming: special case - Splitscreen gaming

This mode is used to operate 3D TVs with their own 3D technology together with Nvidia hardware in the PC. The driver reaches the video signal in the right format to the TV and you enjoy stereo 3D on your home television. If you own the Nvidia 3D Vision 2 Kit with glasses and dongle, the 3DTV Play driver is integrated. There will be a separate payment of 40 euros.

However, there is also a trial version that works two weeks before you are prompted for payment. The disadvantage of this variant is that you can operate the 3D signal only in 1.920 x 1.080 with 24 hertz or in 1.280 x 720 with 60 hertz. This is fine for movies. With games and with a full-HD screen, however, you will not achieve satisfactory results. Instead, the next section is likely to be of interest to you.

If you want to play in the correct resolution on your TV, we recommend the EDID Override method. This takes advantage of the fact that Nvidia 3D Vision not only supports only active 3D monitors. There are few models of Acer, Asus or Zalman with polarization technology that support Nvidia 3D Vision officially.

The EDID Override, an article in the following, describes how to use Nvidia 3D Vision on passive 3D screens. Basically, you just force an alternative driver for your TV. Then the Nvidia hardware and software plays. Then you can play in the correct resolution and correct refresh rate of your TV.

The following case does not really have anything to do with stereo 3D. Splitscreen gaming technology only uses line or column-wise interlacing of the passive 3D image to display classic, horizontal, or vertically split splitscreen games so that each player sees their own screen to their full extent. This requires special passive glasses: for example, the Hama Dual Gaming polarizing glasses on Amazon. These are not those which transmit different light, but a pair of those which only transmit conventionally polarized or only interpolated light. Thus, one player sees a "normally lit" image, while the other sees an interpolated one. The result: everyone has the full screen for themselves.

Medion Akoya E7222 (MD 99260): Aldi laptop from September 5, 2013

The Aldi laptop Medion Akoya E7222 (MD 99260) will be available from September 5, 2013 at Aldi Nord. For the price of 399 euro users get a 17-inch notebook with Windows 8 and relatively good equipment, but with limited game performance. The Intel Pentium 2020M processor, also installed in the current version of the Medion Akoya E6234, features two 2.4GHz Sandy Bridge-based cores and an integrated graphics solution of Intel HD Graphics at HD-2500.

The team of Intel CPU with integrated GPU backs up to 4 GB DDR3 RAM, a 500 GB hard drive, a DVD burner, which describes all important disk types, and more. The system fires Windows 8 on a 17.3-inch 16: 9 screen with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. The Medion Akoya E7222 (MD 99260) supports USB 3.0, WLAN-N, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth 4.0 and HDMI (out). A card reader is also available for peripherals.

The screen is matt, so the laptop is theoretically suitable for outdoor use under the sun. However, the Medion Akoya E7222 (MD 99260) is more suitable as a desktop replacement than a replacement for the computer at home because of the device dimensions of 421 x 35 to 43 x 280 millimeters and the high weight of 3 kilograms. As such, you can use the laptop when high performance is less important to you. Both the two-core processor and the graphics solution are too slow for current games or other complex 3D calculations. In addition, the low resolution on such a large display makes it possible to recognize individual pixels.

If you want to surf the web instead, edit a photo or cut clips for Youtube, then the Medion Akoya E7222 (MD 99260) is well-served. In addition to Windows 8, there is a comprehensive software package, which consists partly of shareware, which is to be released for a fee after a short test phase. Details can be found on the Aldi website for the Medion Akoya E7222 (MD 99260). In addition, readers interested in laptops can refer to our notebook test overview at this point. There are many alternatives for various applications and advice on buying.

Parallels v. TeamViewer: Remote apps tested

Duel: Parallels Access 3.1 vs. TeamViewer 11.0

1: 1 scale for mobile devices

What makes the usual PC work environment, you usually only notice when it is missing. In order to work productively away from your own computer, there is remote control software. It gives you access to all installed programs and data on your desktop PC - even if you are not carrying a heavy notebook with you. Microsoft has provided remote desktop with the RDP protocol and free RDP apps for Android and iOS as standard for mobile smartphone and tablet access to Windows PCs. However, the establishment of a remote desktop connection requires Windows in the Pro or Enterprise version - the popular home and standard licenses do not support remote access.

Apps as mobile apps show

Conclusion

Here TeamViewer and Parallels Access come into play: These tools grant you full remote access to your computer regardless of the Windows version used. Both of them are very different approaches to scale the Windows desktop to the current display sizes of smartphones and tablets and to implement touchscreen input.

TeamViewer is the placekeeper when it comes to remote access to Windows PCs and servers. The software tests in the test are the simplest connection setup without configuration constraint, reliable encrypted file transfer and the support of Windows, Linux, Mac OS and mobile operating systems. The connection is carried out either without prior installation via an ID-ID displayed next to the screen together with a password or after a single registration centrally via the TeamViewer server and a background module running on the PC. Only the latter is recommended for access from a smartphone or tablet.

According to the classic remote control principle, TeamViewer scales the Windows desktop 1: 1 to the screen of the mobile device. During a session, the software temporarily suspends the desktop screen resolution so that the monitor content on the mobile device is reasonably reasonably readable. This folds in the transverse format much better than hochkant. What you see on the smartphone or tablet always corresponds to the actual desktop content of the remote PC.

Parallels Access, on the other hand, does not simply depict the desktop as a smaller view of the PC screen, but makes the Windows applications available individually. After establishing the connection via the Parallels app for Android or iOS, the user is shown in the Lauch-Pad an overview of the programs installed on the remote computer. If you now click on the icon for Word, Excel, Firefox or Explorer, the application will appear similar to an app installed on the mobile in the full screen. In this way, the user always maximizes the software, can easily operate with finger gestures and does not have to plague windows.

Speaking of gestures: These are translated by both tools reliably in mouse actions such as click, double-click, right-click, zoom and drag & drop. The test is running smoothly with both systems via a 3G Internet connection.

Just check a few mails and the dates of the next day in your own Outlook or before the away meeting on the mobile still the text draft on the office PC see: Here plays Parallels Access its advantages. The TeamViewer knitted according to the keep it simple principle, on the other hand, favors the full-fledged desktop access for the cross-program PC remote control. In addition, the software is free for private use, while Parallels Access has a roughly 20 euros per year. In commercial use, however, Parallels is clearly in the price advantage.

The sharpness is distributed for the small converter for 400 euros quite unevenly over the picture field, and open as closed, the corners are weaker than the middle – nevertheless digitally recommended for the three hundred (5500 euros). The version with the factor of two for 500 euros works more evenly, but this is mainly due to the worsening of the middle.

DHL package: "New status of your shipment" mail is spam

If you order a lot online, you are often confronted with countless status e-mails from vendors and mail-order companies. In a hurry and because of a lack of overview, some fake e-mail could slip through and cause a lot of trouble. An e-mail from the alleged sender “DHL Paket” with the subject “New status of your shipment XY” has been haunting the network for months and visiting digital mailboxes with us and other users.

This is a spam-e-mail, which you can easily unmask on your part. On the other hand, there are elements that fake a serious origin of the e-mail.

Let's take a look at the points of the e-mail, which you should immediately get up to. On the one hand, the sender is: "DHL package". If you are not a registered customer of DHL and have not sent or ordered a package specifically ordered (for example, with an insurance company), DHL will not contact you directly and without the customer. You can also see the e-mail address of the sender. In the screenshot above you can see by our markings that behind the name "DHL Paket" hides a dubious address, which has little in common with the logistics service provider.

On the other hand, the subject line is decisive for whether the e-mail is genuine or not. The line "New status of your shipment" hides a supposed tracking number. If you do not expect or have not sent a packet, there will be no real identification numbers for packages from or for you.

Then we look at the text: Grammatical errors as in the first sentence ("the time [...] we can not keep" [sic]) should not undermine reputable companies. For emails from unknown senders, you should always check links before you click them. The indicated link to package tracking does not lead to DHL, as marked in the image above. This is probably a hidden homepage that you want to move to enter access data - which you are after, or a website that delivers malware.

The information in the footer of the e-mail, on the other hand, is correct. This could irritate careless users quickly. Both the address as well as the company information as well as the links to the DHL websites (website, contact and imprint) are correct. However, the other features mentioned should be sufficient for you to delete the e-mail directly.

Firefox: Suggested Tiles scans browser history

Privacy alarm or a sensible step into a healthier refinancing Internet offer? The Mozilla Foundation has introduced Suggested Tiles, a new feature for the Firefox browser. This is primarily a feature for advertisers to play online ads on the “New Tab” tab of the Mozilla browser.

The next code of privacy?

In order for the user to see relevant, ie, personalized, advertising, and companies can earn more than just "Views", Firefox will use Suggested Tiles on the browser history and the user's surfing habits Br>

Why Suggested Tiles?

What's going on at the first moment, as if the next wave of data privacy is already in the door, could not be so bad at all: provided the Mozilla Foundation adheres to the announced framework.

When is it?

After all, whether advertisers collect their data from an opaque construct of cookies and purchased user information - not to mention the controversial Facebook buttons - or use the same history, remains the same for the first time. The advantage of the Mozilla solution lies in the control over the data to be evaluated, which should remain with the user. In addition, Firefox will only display the customized ad when the user opens a new, blank tab. Web pages should not be affected.

Lesetipp: Delete hidden traces in Firefox

The adapted advertisements in the "New tab" tab should be deactivated with two clicks in the settings of the new browser window. If the user activates "Suggested Tiles", personal data (evaluation of the history) are only transferred anonymously and bundled. These data should neither be stored nor passed on. The use of cookies for future reuse is expressly waived.

Suggested Tiles is intended to show that it is possible to generate relevant advertising for the user but still protect his or her privacy. Mozilla assures in the corresponding blog entry that the user retains control of the ads. The history is solely for the user. If he is not interested, he can simply disable the feature. A Mozilla infographics is intended to illustrate how the user's data will be used in the future.

Lesetipp: AdBlock Plus Alternatives

This is, after all, more transparent than text deserts of small-scale usage conditions, which offer hardly any or no means of withdrawing from the work of certain scientific data-carriers.

Suggested Tiles is scheduled to start in the beta test phase. In the summer the start is to follow in the USA. The tests will show whether the feature will make it into the future versions of Firefox and thus also to the United States.

Short film contest caliber 35: Interview with director Sabina G. Kufner

Sabina G. Kufner: For me it was the great pleasure of story-telling and listening, combined with a very strong play drive. As long as I can think, I have played the theater, later studied literature in Munich. About the literature, I came to the film, the medium that just did not let go. At New York University, I immediately became one of the most sought-after places for screenwriting and directing at the end of the literary studies.

Peter Knoll: Frau Kufner, how do you get to the film?

Sabina G. Kufner: I have seen by chance the Facebook page with the bidding and decided on the short term for the participation. The apprentice, the Munich Filmwerkstatt, I value his commitment to independent filmmakers.

Peter Knoll: You have now participated in the Kaliber35 competition for three years. How did you get the idea?

The first time we received no prize, the film is called "sustainability control". But I am fully behind the film, my team and I still find it successful. It is technically and safely made easier by the light than "Diaper Viper" (to the Siegervideos 2012) from the following year.

Peter Knoll: What attracts you to this competition?

Sabina G. Kufner: On the one hand I like the way of working, a lot of space for spontaneous creativity is needed here - which can be very fruitful for the creative process. There are work models in Profibereich that inspire me, for example by directors like Mike Figgis, who use the improvisation technique, or Michael Winterbottom or Wong Kar-wai. Or the Muppet show. The Muppet show had a concept, but each program was then developed dynamically with the guests. I find the work very appealing. My way of working is similar.

Peter Knoll: How and when did you put together your team this year?

Deadlines are also very important, because otherwise a film would never be finished and they are a huge motivation for the whole team. So they watch the movie on the next day, not after weeks or months. The results of the Kaliber35 competition, in which all films had to be produced within 35 hours, were consistently very high-quality, many films have fallen me crazy.

Sabina G. Kufner: I just came out of the holiday and did not want to participate, because I have just a lot of other projects running. Then came just my drive and then I talked to some people - the decision fell overnight, after almost all respondents enthusiastically.

This year we worked with a small team, we were at eight. I personally prefer to work with a normal team of around 20 people. If you already know the team, you are already already played. With a team like last year, I could make a feature film as well.

Sabina G. Kufner: Today I would definitely think of a bad weather alternative and as soon as possible for the location, because we could start this year because of the rainy weather only after delay at 14 clock. And there's a day of shooting already damn short.

Sabina G. Kufner: As a director, I would like to realize my handwriting, whether this is now a short film or a feature film feature. If you are working together creatively, like now in our feature film, which I am writing together with my Viennese colleague Philipp Kaindl, and of course, a common vision is of course essential. It's a comedy !!
. That's the reason why you're pulling the same line of artistic, and especially the sense of humor

Personality is very important to me personally. I want to inspire the audience with a "vision", entertain and not the least to shake the people out of their normative everyday life and life context. It's always true: We're still sitting around the campfire - and that's what's going on at the cinema!

Peter Knoll: What would you be doing differently today with such a twist?

Peter Knoll: What are your goals as a director?

The Onkyo BD-SP308

The Japanese manufacturer Onkyo impresses with its high-quality audio components. With the BD-SP308 he makes a seductive offer to Blu-ray beginners. But how much sound can you expect for 230 euros?

Attractive sound artist

Onkyo has a clear advantage over its competitors in this test field: Especially thanks to its high-quality AV receiver, the Japanese manufacturer enjoys a very good reputation among sound fans. The analogue stereo sound output was the best choice for testers with this player thanks to its softness.

Picture gallery

The fact that the BD-SP308 likes to play with Onkyo receivers, already shows the remote control, the keys for volume and the input selection of the amplifier has. The player can then be extended to the Onkyo Blu-ray complete systems HT-BD6315, HT-BD-3315 and HTX-32BD with receivers and speakers.

Format: DivX, DivX HD or DivX Plus?

But already the BDSP308 already makes a good figure. Through HDMI, it delivers clean surround sound. Even though, like the LG, he uses a maximum of six PCM channels for Dolby's HD sound formats, rather than eight, which may be a problem for a few users.

In terms of image quality, he is also on the convincing level of the LG. Thus, although a slight sharpness override is shown with a highly scaled DVD image. And the interpolation of movements is even more precise with some players.

Onkyo BD-SP308

€ 230, www.onkyo.de

+ Good sound quality + fast start and load times - no support for MKV files - a bit shaky disc insert

Overall rating: very good 81%

Price / Performance: good

For this, the smoothing of round edges was excellent. From Blu-ray, the image looks sharp and balanced. The extensive setting possibilities can be adjusted with too colorful or strongly rushing films.

In the multimedia equipment, the Onkyo is under the LG LGs. There is about no access to Internet TV. Although the BD-SP308 is characterized by a great format compatibility, it can not play videos in the MKV container, even if they are displayed in the menu. Perhaps the problem is solved by a software update. DivX videos in HD quality, the player is already playing.

Something wobbly looks like the LG the disc slot. However, the operation is just as intuitive. Only navigating through the menus found the testers to be a little tame.

When it comes to storing movie files, DivX is extremely popular. For this reason, Blu-ray players also have the appropriate logos. DivX stands for files that are available as AVI or DivX containers. MPEG-4 ASP and audio MP3 are used as the codec for video. If the player can also play HD videos in this format, the DivX HD logo graces it.

The new standard DivX Plus works much more efficiently. Corresponding clips are saved as MKV files. H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC is used as the video codec. The AAC codec, which is also known as M4A music files from Apple's iTunes, is responsible for the data reduction of the audio track. If a player supports DivX Plus files in Full HD and all older DivX versions, it has the DivX Plus HD logo

Position 4: Denon AVR-2113 The Denon AVR-2113 is a natural sound and easy to use. The extensive multimedia features even include AirPlay for easy streaming of Apple devices. The only downside to the AVR-2113 are the few connectivity options available, and the best price for the Denon AVR-2113

Bose Lifestyle 535 Series III HES at the Lesertest

In our December issue we started the application call. From many hundreds of submissions, we selected three candidates, sent them a complete Lifestyle 535 Series III home entertainment system, and asked them to spend a month discussing it in detail. Sound and design, as well as commissioning and interaction of the system with other technology components in the home.

The flagship of the latest generation of Bose lifestyle systems came on the market in autumn 2017 and costs 4,000 euros. The manufacturer promises five high-performance Jewel Cube speakers, as well as a rich bass via the Acoustimass module. The central control console has connection sockets for up to six AV input devices. The SoundTouch adapter allows you to stream music over WLAN. As far as the theory.

But now our readers Rolf Otto, Rolf Richter and Lothar Schwuntek have the floor.

Pioneer SC-LX501 review

The SC-LX501 replaces the only two-digit predecessor model LX59 from the company Pioneer and now on seven instead of the previous nine amplifiers, which gives him the 400 Euro cheaper tariff. Visually, almost everything was the same, the (admittedly antiquated) on-screen menu was reworked and is now extremely good! Installation and setup succeed in no time and without complications.

Conclusion

In addition, the power was screwed up. Do you hear that? Yes! Even though we have already been pampered by the TX-RZ810, the Pioneer still has one thing in common: ice storms are still gaining in drama and naturalness, the overall picture seems even more harmonious. This also applies to set-ups without elevation channels.

With 5x100 or 144 watts at 8 or 4 ohms, the Pioneer also has plenty of power under the case cover. Effective and what is the eye for the app is "iControlAV5". In addition to inputs and basics such as volume and co., The sound equalizer as well as the loudspeaker setup can be selected. Also on Spotify and in the future Deezer and Google Cast can be accessed.

The Pioneer is adequately equipped and drags (but only at three of six HDMI inputs) Ultra-HD signals with HDR-HDCP-2.2 compatibility. Compared to the Marantz, he loses points here, but for ordinary utility this is sufficient. And thanks to the integrated scaler you can also scale up to 4K images. The Pioneer, as well as the Onkyo, thanks to various "super-resolutions" very well.

The Pioneer plays airy-light and pushes at the next moment with action scenes. The home cinema evening is really fun! Thanks to 3D audio support, you can also hear from the top. And with one or the other update (as with the Onkyo), the SC-LX501 could soon become a multi-function hero.

Google+ is redistributed - return to Picasa Online?

Google+ is undergoing a change. With Bradley Horrowitz, a new Google manager takes over the development of the social network and announced at the same time that this is divided into Google Photos and Google Streams. Also Google Hangouts could be placed on its own in this step. Previously it was known that Dave Bresbis, who was responsible for Google+ after the departure of Vic Gundortra, would change the position.

Google Photos as Picasa 2.0?

With the news of Bradley Horrowitz on Google+, Google confirmed for the first time a development, which had been foreseeable for a long time. Thus, the separation of Google Plus into photos, hangouts and the stream for the apps for Android and iOS has already been completed. As Techcrunch supposes, Google+ is likely to continue to include the stream and the user profiles. Google Photos should be similar to Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets and Co. a separate Google service and in American then probably as Google Photos occur. Hangouts occurs as a successor to Google Talk and becomes a standalone messenger.

Picasa Webalben, the Fotodienst service, is celebrating a return. The popular online photo platform with desktop software of the same name had been largely integrated into Google+ by Google. Users have been encouraged to log in to the new social network to use all the features. This step is reversed by re-cutting all the photo functions. In the meantime, the addition of photo features such as AutoUpload, AutoAwesome, and Stories could now make many new users use Google's photo platform.

All the tricks and methods of the auditors: Guide to the operation test

An operational audit by the tax office is one of the most stressful times of an entrepreneur. Because when the officials find inconsistencies, there are delicate penalties which may even mean the end of the entrepreneurial existence. For this reason, you should not take an operational test lightly. A targeted preparation saves nerves and money.

This includes, for example, pre-eminently trustworthy and employees in the company, who work for the auditors. They should have the permission to provide information as well as tax and contract documents. You should also consider the timing of the company's audit and when you will get your tax consultant. Thanks to our checklist for the operation test, you can go through the preparation step by step.

Apart from this, the documents to be examined are the most important at all in an operational test. If they are incomplete or faulty the anger is pre-programmed. A carefully managed bookkeeping and business documentation is therefore the key.

Simvalley SPX-8 in the test

Scammers claim that display giants, like the SPX-8, are mobile phones with which one can surf properly (the talk is here of the wave and not the Internet). But in fact, the display with a diagonal of 5.2 inches (13.2 cm) and a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels provides enough space for the clear presentation of Internet pages. But also viewing photos or movies is going to be fun with the big screen. The display is protected against scratches by special H4 glass.

A special coating is designed to ensure that fingers do not leave marks easily. We put to the test an iPhone 4s next to the SPX-8 and quickly becomes clear that the display of the SPX-8 is much more sensitive to fingerprints than the iPhone's. The latter is also visibly better reflected.

Also, the retina display looks sharper and brighter. This does not mean that the display of the Simvalley smartphone would be bad, but in comparison to competing market leads, the user has to make the SPX-8 smear. Especially in the strong sunlight, it is difficult to detect anything on the 5.2-inch display.

With the SPX-8, the PDA input known from PDA times is moving into the mobile phone world. Of course, the smartphone can be operated as usual with the finger, but for tasks, which require a little more fine motor, an input pin is parked in the bottom of the smartphone.

On the back is an eight megapixel camera, which delivers good results in good light conditions (for a smartphone). The large display provides excellent image and sharpness control. The SPX-8 needs to be populated with a micro SD card that is not included in the package before taking a picture. At the front is a second camera, which provides significantly less resolution and image quality. It is primarily intended for the videotelefonie and not for the self-portrait.

The battery is well sized with 2500 mAh, with a moderate use of Bluetooth, WLAN and GPS one comes one to two days over the rounds. If you play a lot with the gadgets, the SPX-8 already wants the charger. A typical behavior of all powerful smartphones.

The few keys are not labeled or provided with symbols, which is somewhat irritating at the initial contact, since you can not find the power button. However, since only three keys are available, this hurdle is quickly overcome.

Special: Printer Trends at a glance

Inside is a CPU with a gigahertz clock frequency. It drives Google's Android operating system version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

Very practical and relatively unique in the smartphone world is the operation of the smartphone with two sim cards. This allows the user to use a company card and a private one. Both work in parallel. Contacts stored in the phone can be assigned to the respective Sim card.

Despite its generous dimensions and the weight of 210 grams, the Simvalley SPX-8 is well in hand. The built-in materials make a great impression in terms of price.

The SPX-8 from Simvalley gives you the best advice when surfing and taking pictures to a large display value. Of course, the user has to make cuts on the display and the processor performance, but he has to scroll to the counter at Pearl at only 249 euros and get an input pencil as a Dreadabe.

Cullmann Magnesit 532Q - cheap aluminum tripod

Cullmann Magnesit 532Q in the test: The manufacturer uses comparatively cheap aluminum as a material, which makes the tripod a bit heavier than carbon triple.

However, the material alone does not explain the 2.7 kilograms - rather the massive design as well as the great flexibility of the tripod. It reaches a maximum working height of 191 cm - but only with a fully extended center column. Without it still 154 cm.

In addition, the center column can be mounted not only upside down, but can also be rotated 90 degrees in all directions. Clear: in the swivel mode, the structure is not particularly stable - especially if a heavy camera is attached to it, a remote control and the camera setting is necessary to prevent camera shake to avoid camera shake. In exceptional cases, however, they extend the possible applications. A scale along the panorama axis and a dragonfly make alignment easier.

Photoshop: How to work with smart objects

All spars are covered with neoprene and can be spread in three angles. Large and easy-to-grip clamps ensure quick adjustment of the working height even with clipped fingers. The Cullmann Magnesit 532Q comes with a tripod for money, and the results are just as good. For 160 Euros, the Cullmann Magnesit 532Q gets a lot of tripods for the money. This turns the tripod into the ColorFoto test winner.
