Heco brings color into play. While the co-workers save on the color selection and offer their pupils only in black and white, Heco also offers the set Music Colors 100 in two additional finishes: poppy red and stylish brown (espresso / wenge). The center and the subwoofer are only available in white or black.
Designed for the shelf
No matter what decor you choose from the Heco range, it is highly polished to the front. Behind the matte gray plastic front of the MusicColours 100 is an MDF plate, in which the two chassis, an eleven centimeter deep woofer and a 25 millimeter-sized fabric dome sit. The center is equipped with two nine-centimeter low / mid-range drivers and a 20-millimeter dome.
While most of the loudspeakers are developed free-standing on speaker stands, Heco has specifically designed the Music Colors range for the wall-mounted shelf position. So for a lineup, which is probably chosen in 80 percent of all applications for practical reasons. The Phalanx is a subwoofer cube with an actively driven and two passive diaphragms.
Buying advice: The best soundbars under 500 Euro
The construction is similar to that of the Jamo woofer, only the draft was limited in favor of the maximum level. 44 Hertz represent a good value for a bass of this size with a maximum undistorted level of just under 106 decibels. The tonal transition from the low bass to the fundamental range of the satellites has done well.
Voices never sound thinned, but sonorous. The set left the impression of a much larger sound in the home cinema operation, which mainly benefited from action spectacles such as the classic password: Swordfish. If it is a bit bigger, then you should take this musical and neatly level-playing Music Colors set to mind. This is where the competition has to nibble.
